Internet in North Korea is hyper restricted. Nobody is "rich" enough to get access, nor do you need to be in the military. There is a single line that goes in and out of NK, and that line is hyper controlled by the government and firewalled to only allow North Korean websites. These sites are accessed via a terminal in one of a handful of government equivalent of "internet cafe" and I believe in some schools, but definitely mostly used by the Government. The sites are accessed using a North Korean fork of Firefox called "Naenara" which is pre-loaded into a North Korean developed Linux fork called "Red Star OS" It is some ... super weird shit lol

Nah, its weird. First off, "Naenara" means "My Country" in Korean which is a weird name for a web browser. And this restricted access effectively means nobody has a PC or other internet capable device for their selves as they are all no doubt government property. Nobody has any real privacy or personal space.

"My country" really isnt a weird name when you consider it literally is their country's intranet. They do not have internet, only highly limited intranet. The OS is connected to the intranet so the privacy is minimal. Main server knows everything that happens on the computer and modifying the OS will just kill the system. Some student libraries do have somekind of internet access for students. But they can't touch it directly, they have to ask what kind of information they are searching for and some trusted individual searches it for them. That way the students can get access to knowledge that is outside of their country.

Pulgasari is an easy-to-find North Korean movie, and it can be found subbed on KZbin. Kim Jong-Il wanted to produce his own movies, so he kidnapped a South Korean director in the early 80s and forced him to direct his movies, including Pulgasari. It's essentially medieval North Korean Godzilla, to the extent that Jong-Il payed Toho (the studio behind the Godzilla films) a lot of money to do the special effects, which were almost comparable to those from the same year's Godzilla movie (the 1985 reboot). Toho even dubbed it and released it in Japan. It's sheer existence is baffling, but it's surprising decent.
