He had quite an enviable position, he was the last of the OG YTers who made it big just for being himself and he threw it all away for nothing.

The cupcake video is what seals it for me. It proves that not only did he know EXACTLY what he was doing, BUT ALSO that he doesn't take it seriously that being an adult and attempting to have a sexual/romantic relationship with a CHILD is WRONG on all fronts. Good take Muta. Not a lot of people can grasp the nuances of situations like this and how things can spiral out of control as a result of vigilante-type actions that aren't thought through. We can only hope that one day he admits to what he has done and justice prevails. EDIT: Looks like he did actually admit to some things - guess I missed those mentions when I first watched this while doing other stuff. It's still a horrible series of events no matter how you look at it.

agreed with everything you said, and this is really off topic but nobody gets “help” in prison. they’re institutionalized, beaten down and rarely cast back out into society. prisons are not a place of repair, and the narrative that you’ll get the rehabilitation you need in prison typically covers up the atrocities that do take place. it’d be even harder for edp because of his crimes. he wouldn’t remain alive for more than a month or two. thanks for the great vid muta

I know because I have had my name legally changed: If there is even PENDING litigation against you, your name change docket will be denied. If the court SUSPECTS your name change is to avoid prosecution or punishment, it will be denied. There is also a MANDATORY 30 day waiting period after the petition is filed. The petition has to be published in the local newspaper with the intended change of name included. If his name change were approved or even made it through court it would have been obvious and his new name would havee been public information. This is inplace so that people such as debt collectors can find the new name of a person who might be trying to escape debts through a name change.

My petition never had to go through the local newspaper, and I didn't have a mandatory 30 day waiting period, just had the time it took to mail the petition and then get the response from the court. It may vary from state to state, but notifying the bank, doctors, insurance company, etc. about the name change was my responsibility.

no justice system is perfect. Even the most peaceful country are not safe from corruption and/or biased views of what they define as "justice", and sadly there's more people like EDP that got away with it than those who was faced with the proper punishment and reformation. Blaming it all onto the governments we, the normal citizens that choose said governments changes nothing. we should focus to scrub away these problems of course, yet it is a very difficult task to do so that would take years or if there would be any changes at all. It is easy for us to talk all about changes here, while some corrupt people out there who has the law enforcement in their pockets victims on our children. I see the only way now is to just educate our children and observe them closely with who they socialize with.

You kinda nailed why I'm not a fan of the Hansen style of predator catching. Yes, the people being outed are heinous and absolutely need to be investigated or surveyed. But the legal system is an Iron Maiden maze and one wrong step can nuke the entire process. Nah they don't always get immediately beat down. The police will try to hide their charges and put them in gen pop in most jails. Inmates will get your paperwork tho and they will find out your real charges. I have seen it happen. Old boi was in for a murder but the SA charges were not listed or something when the fellas on the block got word about it the entire block beat the brakes off the dude and left him in a pile on the bars for the cops to clean up.

Some even have stories like the host has personal experience and this is their benevolent way of preventing monsters from harming kids. Some will claim they have a near perfect conviction rate.. The truth is, the vast majority of the time (even if an arrest is initially made) the cases get thrown out because any confession could be seen as under duress (most of the time these guys don't confess they just run away) and chatlogs can be considered innadmissible. Sometimes its not enough to make a case.. sometimes if any case is made, its something the offender pleads out of and immediately gets released back onto the street with a slap on the wrist (likely wiser and less likely to get caught, trapped or ambushed next time). Police already have their own private sting operations for this sort of thing. They can make sure things are done by the book. They know how to go about communication to pile on as many charges as they can. They likely have a district attorney that knows of the operation and is waiting on standby. They can arrest them at the scene..take down information.. file reports.. You going to the police and dropping chatlogs and video recordings in their lap is just poisoning the well. And you better believe if they are busy dealing with tons of other cases, your "evidence" is getting put at the bottom of the list because it wasn't gathered by police in the proper way and as far as they are concerned could be a waste of time. Just let the police deal with it. Trust me, they are. You just don't hear about it because they don't do it for attention.

As a paralegal I can respect what these predator catching channels are trying to do and I personally agree that sometimes citizens must take matters into their own hands where law enforcement fails to apply. Unfortunately, from a professional standpoint, I can assure you that most of the preds they catch are out and back to doing what they were doing within 72h, no matter what evidence (chatlogs, call recordings, dickpics, admission of guilt, etc...) is presented to law enforcement. @@vulturesalesman you’re correct, most nordic countries operate this way. pretty much same thing here in finland with prisons. here it’s all about getting people help so they can return to society and contribute to it, thing is sometimes its all for nothing so it’s a gamble. prisons are expensive to upkeep and here especially. some have hotel level stays, most have better food than schools and free going to hobbies, etc. all depends on the type of prison, location and crime severity. this however is not always a good thing. lots of bad people abuse this system. first time offenders get half the sentence and life sentence here is 14-17 years (something like that). of course there is supposed to be a punishment of sorts to make people realize the effect of their actions, again, some people learn and some don’t. it’s complicated and this is just my take on it. i personally think edp445 needs to go behind bars, and i completely agree with muta on why he should.

A someone who has been a victim, I can tell you why most victims don't file a report. It's because of feelings like shame, feeling disgust towards yourself and not wanting to be associated with it, denial that it didn't happen, severe stress that happens afterwards, suppression of trauma, depressive episodes, anxiety or outright believing that it didn't happen at all. The social stigmatization of those types of cases doesn't help either, especially because your close ones treat you a lot differently when you speak out. And if you have a spotlight over your head and basically the whole world is watching you to give out your statement, it can induce panic attacks, immense stress, anxiety and lots of other problems. For most cases, it is also hard to collect evidence unless you go to the hospital and undergo tests to determine the truth of your statements. What also doesn't help is that victims, after the act is done try to remove clothing that they wore to distance themselves from the situation, and if they destroy them, then the police have less evidence for pursuing a case against the offender. Also, in some smaller cases, the police don't do a good job of resolving the case, and for most people, they never press charges because they feel like the offender will spend insignificant time in jail for them to feel safe if they undergo the process. Due to the nature of such cases, a large precentage of victims, because they are in a vulnerable state after the act refuse to speak of it until much later because the trauma they experience is very fresh and not many people are actually mentally ready to handle it imediately.
