I was 15 at the time when this guy (who was maybe in his early 30's) approached me at the park and asked if we could get to know each other and I told him of (rather rudely might I add, but it felt like the right thing to do at the time) before running home. Few days later my parents are watching the News in the living room and that guy's face comes up, he was arrested for assulting a minor (13yo)!

Oh I have one of these stories! So I was in high school it was winter formal, so me and my friend went outside to wait for a rides and there was this creepy homeless man. He was really suspicious, so me and Jenna got this sinking feeling that something wasn't right with him. And apparently our principal also got the same feeling, she took us back inside. And to this day I'm still convinced that my principal saved Our Lives because if it wasn't for her I don't know what would have happened.

I heard from a man who was a police officer that kidnappers when they’re waiting in a car will usually signal to you they want to talk to you. But when they talk to you they talk quietly so you instinctually get closer so that you can hear them. Then that’s when they try to grab you.

I remember one time when I was really little. There was this dude at the park that I was at who had a drone. And I remember being so transfixed by it that I walked up to him which wasn't very close. But I was watching the drone. After a while, he noticed my interest. And he said with this strange look on his face that he's just going to walk the drone home. And if I wanted to, I could follow him. I decided not to. And he asked me if I was sure and looked kind of disappointed. Keep in mind, this is a grown man. And I said I'm sure. At that exact moment, my mom who had been watching over me had whistled for me to come back over. That was kind of her way of calling back my sister and I when we got too far away from her. I guess it's just a German thing. From where she's from. So, I don't know. But it was definitely really strange. Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure that look on his face was of hunger.

Here's a gut feeling story of mine. Not amazing, but it was something I thought I can maybe share: A few years ago, before Covid, my mom took us to the beach. The beach is split up, and there are sections. My mom said we could go to section 5 or 7. I said 5, but I'm weird with numbers and wanted to change it to 7. I had a bad feeling about it though, so I didn't change the number. A few hours later, there was a commotion at the other beach. We went over and found out the sandbar had broke. About 10 or so kids had to be saved by lifeguards because of the rip current. I was a social kid and I spent most of my time at the beach in the water with my brother. Had we gone to the other beach, I would have gotten sucked under with those kids.

When I was a kid, I was at a thrift store with my mom and sister. I was 13, so my mom took my sis to the kid's section, (she's younger than me) while I shopped the women's smalls shirts. I got a bad feeling and noticed a man, who was big and burly, maybe in his late thirties, with brown wavy hair, and cold threatening eyes. I look away, pretending I wasn't scared of him, and kept shopping, while keeping an eye on him. There's stuff for sale on top of the racks, and he goes to the rack right where I am to look at the wooden box on top. I thought I was done, until a young couple walked by, and the woman stopped behind me, looking at the blouses. (She didnt intentionally help, she was just looking, i could tell by her facial expressions, and how she doesnt talk to me at all after the whole ordeal.) It scared him off, and after that, I found my mom and sister and we left. The store still scares me.

There was this ice cream van that popped up at my school Me and my bestfriend dont see them often so we were excited and went to it. In fact it was my first time seeing an ice cream van thing Inside was an old man that looked familiar and had a deep voice. He looked in 40’s, i asked my bff if she wanted anything and she said “no” My bff was looking uncomfortable so I decided to pretend i had no money and left. i kept watching the van and it left as soon as we sat back down again waiting to be picked up. We both felt kinda uneasy Im not 100% sure but i heard someone talking about a van with ice cream *couldnt hear this part* but it was dangerous or something, kidnapping i think they said. This was a few days after that. We told our parents immediately Im not sure what really happened but im happy nothing happened.

My story: a few years ago i was at a park with like 6 friends(aged 11-15, had stayed the night at this 1 girls house) and somewhat wandered away from the group. Had a weird gut feeling so I went back and it turned out there was this weird guy walking around our group a bunch, so we left and started to go home, but he started following us so we went a roundabout way and he kept following until he got stuck at a stoplight and we ran, snuck down an alley, and finally got to her house, very shaken

Both women and men do bad things like in these stories. In the 1st story, I agree with Kyutie that kids would more likely trust a woman. In the 4th story, the guy and the neighbor are both good/kind people. In the 5th story, I agree with Kyutie that the guy was planning on kidnapping the girl/young woman. In the 6th story, that woman was nice/did the right thing when she told the person that they were being followed. In the 7th story, both the person and the dog saved the person's life. The person felt that the dog was behaving differently than usual, and the dog was telling the person that something was wrong/help was needed.

I have a story of my own. When I was younger I had to visit my dad on weekends. I was at that age where I was allowed to be home alone (so about 12). My dad, sister and brother were going to the shops. I originally wasn’t going to tag along but I just felt…weird. In my gut. So I quickly changed my mind and got ready. When we all returned from shopping we discovered that the house had been robbed. Who knew what would’ve happened to me if I ignored my gut feeling

In terms of kids getting kidnapped, mist of the time, they're taken by someone that they know. Usually family members. Kids aren't usually stupid enough to get into a stranger's car, so that whole ' stranger danger' crap doesn't work at all. And, yes, if it was a stranger kidnapping children, it would be a woman that they would trust.

My sister had a gut feeling when she got in her car and started to drive home her gut was telling her not to go home she ignored it but the closer she got to her house stronger the feeling. So she turned around and drives to the nearest gas station wondering why her gut was telling her not to go home. All of a sudden she gets a message from her phone it said “AirTag found moving with you.” My sister was obviously alarmed because she doesn’t own a AirTag so she when to a mechanic to find the AirTag and he found it in the corner of the tire and got rid of it. If she kept ignoring her gut feeling whoever put the tracker on her car would’ve found out where she lives and kidnapped her.

He didn't say anything so I continued walking. This story isn't really scary but annoying so me, my mom, my twin sister, and my older sister and my niece went a house( dont know whos house) my mom and older sister needed something from the persons house and they asked if we wanted to come me and twin said no but my niece went. Fast forward a bit were both sitting in the car minding our business and then all of the sudden we hear someone trying open the door we look up and we see a kid.. we check if the other doors are looked and they are ( and the kid checks if the other if there are open) and he notices me and at the back of the trunk thats how he noticed, then jumps on the door of the trunk at this me and my sis are annoyed luckily women passes by noticed the kids and tells the kids to stop. this is one of the reasons i keep the doors looked , we didn't really care but if it were a grown adult then we'll start panicking, and the worst part about it is that we would't have anyone to call cuz my sister and my mom left there phones with us so that we would't be bored.
