Poor Mina, she'll be fine. I admire her for how quickly she has picked up English and her listening skills are very good. Living in South Florida, I know exactly what you mean by "wet slime." Another day and still more to see. The sandstone Buddhas are amazing! But what a place to carve them, right on a corner like that. I wonder how many sculptors were killed by traffic zooming round the corner and hitting them! 🤣😂🤣😂 Probably only he odd buffalo cart to worry about 150 years ago. Until you mentioned it I hadn't thought about bananas being sold on separate stalls before, but it is the same in Thailand. Very odd. You do need to be careful when walking around. Slippery spots and uneven surfaces. It happened to me here in Virginia. Fell on my butt with my backside all muddy. Don't feel so bad Mina. Yes, increase safety awareness. We just heard that a father of two young children was electrocuted. We used to work with his village when he was a boy. No good reason for that to happen.

That slip might be the best thing that's happened to Mena mate as it might just slow her down. Went thru the same with my kids. Pride comes after the fall .. mostly. Most of the countries don't worry about safety in that neck of the woods. Great to travel in the wet it brings a whole new perspective to the areas. Bushyboy Oz.

Yes this time of the year, rainy season, everything is continuously wet, flip flops are really slippery, I have just been pressure washing our yard, but it’s a bit of a futile exercise as I know in a couple of weeks cement will be black with slime. Would welcome any advice what I could put down to stop it.

Slippery tiles, I was in Thailand and house keeping left a bucket and mop around a corner. I went around that corner and put my bloody foot right in the bucket, coming a cropper and falling directly on my head, Murphy's law would suggest this. Only is SE ASIA.

Just a thought re bananas (I am not a vege/fruit expert), I am wondering if the bananas emission of Nitrogen etc, speed up the ripening/spoiling of the other fruits. I remember putting Avo's (not apprehended violence orders) in a bag with bananas to speed up the ripening process. I don't know; just a thought.

My Hmong Lao fiancé said they don’t like Chinese Bananas because they look artificial. Her mother would bring bananas from the highland and she would outsell the bananas in town. She said bananas from the highland are natural.
