You go up the side of a mountain in Chaing Mai and there are little kids standing all day in Northern costume to get money for mum and dad who are laying on a bamboo mat drinking beer telling their kids to approach the farrangs. Down on the islands, in the middle of Bangkok - child labour where kids have to work before they even make 10yo's If you keep giving them money - mum and dad will keep getting their gorgeous kids to beg

You would light it like you would wax, and drip it down to whatever you’re glueing. Like Neenee was saying, an example, it’s used inside knife handles so the handle ends stayed in the woods. Have a great day.

Hello Todd and Neenee, happy to see you exploring new villages on your trek, and this hidden gem of a village is just that, so shhh, don't tell anyone else or it'll get overrun with tourists and ruin the vibe of such an undiscovered place to enjoy the true village life, culture, and the peoples living there. And yes, you hit the nail on the head about tourists giving money to children or people who simply 'beg' or put their hand out for money. So many non-locals, tourists, and so many other vloggers I watch, are constantly giving money to those who beg for money, and I want to dope slap them to 'stop' doing that, like you said, otherwise, they become used to 'dumb' tourists giving them money for doing nothing so they are taught to 'beg' all tourists with a handout for money. To me, it's pure disgraceful behavior. Unless they are 'working' for you, or 'helping' you do something, or are acting like a tour guide to show you the area you're in, or are allowing you into their village, business, or even their house, tourists need to learn to please stop giving these beggars money, especially the 'cute' children who ask for money from tourists. It's one thing to 'help' out some impoverished or needy people or children with a 'donation' to help them out, but give them food, or clothes, a blanket, or a hat, or even a pillow, or buy something from them instead of just dishing out your money to them so they come to expect money from all tourists they see. You and Neenee make it a point to purposely bring clothing, household items, and food or even just snacks for the kids, to help out the villagers, and it's so noble and honorable of you both doing this for so many of the remote mountain villages you find/see along the way on your travels. It's the real way to 'help' them out, and I Thank You both for doing that wherever you go, it's very inspiring, and I hope to be financially sound enough to do that as well once I settle in to wherever I end up moving to somewhere in SE Asia within a year. Your vlogs are always awesome, and I still love your b&w photo's, Todd, it captures the area in a different way that video doesn't, and I honestly enjoy your photographic talents. Stay Healthy, Happy, and Safe to you both.

The kids begging is heartbreaking. We spent a month and a half in the Philippines earlier this year and the begging kids were everywhere. I truly feel for them, but I will never enable begging. That said, we tipped everyone yhat provided us a service well above what we would in the US. Also, if you want to see the pinnacle of farangs not talking to each other, go for a sunrise walk in Pattaya on the boardwalk. I see the same people every day and there are two guys that will say "hey" and make eye contact. The other several hundred look down or straight through you.

Loves this town. It looks so interesting. The begging by kids has been taught from generation to generation and it’s sad. I have seen it all over Vietnam. The Vietnamese government ask everyone to please not give money or lollies to them. Especially amongst the Hmong. They do not have access to doctors and dentists and causes so many issues especially with rotting teeth at very young ages. Also if you give money handouts to the children they tend not to go to school. I know in Vietnam they want all children to go to school rather than learn to beg along tourist routes. Thank you for also sharing with other foreigners not to give to the beggars and the reasons why

I mean scenery is one thing but not worth much if you don't get to know the people living in the scenery right. You of all people know that. Why do monkeys sit around and attack tourists with food instead of foraging for food? Obviously, because it was given food by tourists. The monkeys have learned that tourists sometimes carry luxurious "monkey food" on them, and the food would be handed to the monkeys for FREE. There is a reason why park rangers said not to feed the animals. Of course, children are not animals. Regardless, I can't say that the children who displayed this kind of aggressive begging behavior are smarter than the smartest monkeys. They wouldn't last long in the forest by themselves. Children should not be taught to beg for money at such a young age. That's not how they should earn a living. They would be the disgrace of their village and the reason why tourists don't return for a second visit. If a tourist is going to give something to the children, give candies instead. Unlike money (which tend to have strings attached in most cases), giving candies to little children is not frowned upon in third world countries. However, they should not go around riding a big van and start handing candies to every kid they see on the streets. They would quickly be questioned and their van checked for kidnapped children.

Ahhh beautiful place Tod but the tourists passing through there are despicable. The kids asking for money drove us insane really destroys a places vibe when it becomes like that, when locals start to resent foreigners also. The bus from Muang khua to Vietnam is hilarious also and a massive scandal, costs 5x as much as it does going from Vietnam to Laos - they've mafia'd it for any foreigner trying to cross it's insane. I've no idea what it is its this new generation of young people there awful, walking around heads down don't talk or interact with anyone, they'll walk around taking pictures of people but won't even say a simple hello how are you... So arrogant and rude think their gods gift especially when they get treated like kings in Laos or thailand etc. Drives me bloody insane mate Rant over the world's gone to rubbish get me off it Your a good man 🙏
