Good looking little pocket piece. One of the better looking finishes on a Ruger I have seen lately. Take time to so the machine polish on the slide. Nice touch. Well it's been summer again over here in Hazard today. Tomorrow back to the arctic. Have a new S&W 2.0 Bodyguard 380 to break in. Good vid. It’s a great backup or summertime carry. Very easy to conceal. Mine came with a pocket holster and just disappears in the pocket. Grabbed a couple 12 round mags as well.

No not too expensive. But Ruger usually charges a little more than other companies for their mags. I think I got a two pack for around $40 if my memory is correct.

Put the MCarbo in mine as well because the one it came with was getting stuck against the trigger stop. Waaay better than the hollow, tinny sounding trigger it comes with.

Nice review Al ! ive had my Ruger Max a couple years and carry it daily , its a great compact pocket pistol ! Do yourself a favor and get the 12 rd magazine , fits my big hands alot better , 380 packs plenty of punch with good hollow points !

I bought the same gun for SD, also stoke it with the 12 rd mags, an federal punch .380 SD rounds, I feel comfy with it for social work. But carrying a wallet, phone, knife, flashlight, keys, spare 12 rd mag. Thats a couple of pounds of gear in your pockets, thats why I went this way, lighter is better. Don't expect to get into a major gunfight, but its better than a sharp stick. Use to carry the.380 lcp , this replaced it, just a little thicker, an a little heavier, but its a tradeoff I'm willing to make, better than a 9mm for size an weight, but I don't push it past 7 yds for SD. I spent a year and a half at Fort Knox. One January night I pulled guard duty at the motor pool at 10 below zero. Needless to say, I guarded the office more than anything outside. My original model LCP sports a red laser light on the right side.

When you pulled it out of the box I thought SCCY had come out with a better model 😂. That's really lightweight! I do like my Rugers -9 so far- but only picked up one CPX-1. If it hits the 50s on Monday maybe you can try it out without freezing. Stay warm. ☕️👍🙏🎯

Nice looking little micro. My EDC is a Keltec P3AT and while it's proved to be a reliable little gun I have been playing around with the idea of replacing it with something a little newer. That one looks like it might be a possibility and would probably work with my holsters as well.

I've had this exact gun for a few months now. I'm impressed, it's shot everything from fmj to hp ammo. I like the underwood extreme defender for 380, the first one you have to help getting chambered but good to go after that due to the bullet design. Only complaint are the sights, when aiming you have to keep the front sight higher than normal on mine. I'm used to it now though.

I traded my original LCP for this one, and don’t regret it at all. With the bigger grip, it doesn’t have that snappy feeling the original did, and is easier to keep on target. I’m still getting use to it, but it is definitely a great little carry gun.

My first pistol ever was a Lorcin 380. Bought it new for $100 when I was 20 years old and I’m 55 now. You talk about the biggest piece of shit I ever owned. If the first shot went off, you just better throw the gun at them and run cause you know dam well you didn’t hit him. I’m willing to revisit this caliber and see if it’s been improved upon.

Yeah it looks like a good candidate for front pocket carry. I just picked up a Taurus 327. Fits in front pocket pretty good but it’s hang up is the exposed hammer. My local gun shop will rent a gun to try out on their indoor range so I definitely gonna give it a try.

I love Ruger I own several. I just bought the Ruger security 380 over the LCP Max. the security 380 was $280 but price wasn't a factor. having both on the counter in front of me the LCP just fell short in to many ways compared to security 380 and of course I didn't mind saving the money on it. the LCP Max is a good little pocket pistol but I think the security 380 offers more at a cheaper price. good review BTW.

Nice pistol but I wish that it had a black mat finish instead of that shiny slide. Just a personal preference. I don't have one of these but I do have a Ruger LC9 that I've had for several years. It has the awful trigger but at least it is one piece and not one of those split triggers like the LCP .380 has in this video. Not sure why but those triggers just never seemed quite right to me. Anyway, I got used to the LC9's trigger and can shoot it pretty well. Shooting into a 4" circle at 15 yards is no problem at all. Is there a 9 mm version of this pocket pistol? Should be!

I have the blued/black LCP Max. I carry the Ruger Max-9 full time holstered at the 6 o'clock position, but will carry this one with shorts in the summer in a Sticky holster due to its convenient size. This is not fun to shoot several mags at the range with as it is VERY snappy with the recoil, but definitely a great conceal carry option for men or women.

My favorite firearm is Ruger, I own several rugers and a couple of Glocks and a few Smith & Wesson my favorite gun that I carry is my Ruger security 9 I know what you mean about the cold weather I am not a cold weather person. As much as I like to shoot it's got to be in the 60s and very little wind, I cannot wait till spring time, winter sucks

Owned one for 2 months. 200 rounds no issues. They make a 12+1 mag for it. Wife had no problems hitting man shaped target at 30 yrds.

Not the 75th edition, but I've had one for several years. The only issue is the mag release allowing the magazine to release while using the pocket holster. Otherwise, its a great carry gun.

I have one and with bigger hands you should get a Hogue beaver tail grip for it, it makes it a bit wider. It just slips on over the existing grip.

I have an original Ruger LCP .380. Not the LCP II or Max. It has a normal trigger, and is the only one that fits in my Bulldog cell phone style holster, which is the only way I can carry it concealed. I would never buy a gun with one of those weird 2 piece riveted triggers.
