Which is why it is so important to appreciate a drama like Jan e Jahan which has the right moral compass and does not cater to public appetite for toxicity

Shiddat: Although I am not watching the drama, but I do follow it through your reviews and where I do understand that the mother is shown to be extremely irritating, I would like to share it's not far from reality. My aunt in close family is exactly like that, my first cousin has walked out of an emotionally and physically abusive marriage to come and stay with her mother. And my aunt knowing very well all that still insists that she should go back to her husband. While this blows my mind, it's sadder to know that real people are more abnoxiously unreasonable than our on screen mothers

BRKRJ - Farhad is the epitome of playing the victim in every single circumstance, every situation and with every one.

Before Freeya pushed Farhad he was throwing things. Not sure what the object was but he threw something to the ground in a fit of anger. That's also considered abuse if a person asserts authority to intimidate and threaten the other by breaking things to express their anger.

Khusbo mein base khat: I think Adila represents many individuals in toxic relationships/marriages getting stuck due to decision paralysis and inertia...in complete denial of the reality vs. what used to be/only exists in their head. She is shown to be a confident professional but utterly weak when it comes to managing her personal life. Even her mother is more progressive and clearly didn't give Adila an upbringing to quietly suffer in silence. Waiting for the day she will drive a stake through Zariyab's heart. I cannot believe otherwise of anything Nadia Jamil would sign up for. The abuse from the "sweet-spoken, adabi viper" needed to stop yesterday. Wish there was a sequel where Penny would still be alive and pull a 'kill bill" with Adila. Alas, it's not meant to be. Can't wait for the conclusion ❤

BRKRJ: I like Farhad and Freya's storyline because it feels very realistic and true to life. They are a young couple from different social backgrounds, living together under challenging circumstances without family support. They hadn't experienced life's harsh realities until they eloped and got married, and now they're starting to understand the challenges ahead, though they aren't yet able to handle them. Farhad, who has always had a temper, is now lashing out at every issue he encounters. He is trying to juggle his relationships with his wife and mother while being unemployed. He spends his time at his father's restaurant, a place he never liked and always avoided. Honestly, I'm enjoying both Hamza's and Iqra's performances, especially Hamza's, because his character is dealing with so much right now. You're right, Farhad's mother is the most annoying character; it really bothers me whenever her scenes come on. I understood why Farhad's father had issues with Freya, but why is his mother so angry with her?
@nabilahkhan1271
@nabilahkhan1271 28 күн бұрын
She’s in depression which is leading her to fear that her son will leave her. She’s technically alone since her husband died and her daughter is married off. Her state of mind is causing her to reject Freya, not because she has something against her but because she fears she’ll be all alone. Her fear and her rejection of Freya is irrational I agree but she’s acting out of temporary insanity caused by grief.

Again do not agree with your review of Khushboo Mein Base Khat... The story is progressing towards a very exiting end.... Its a very difficult situation Adeela is in, and the makers are handling it very sensitively... Its Pennys taqreer the next day, Adeela is mature enough to behave with restraint .. You guys enjoy your toxic romance draggy dramas with A list actors like Tum Binn no matter how repetitive and meaningless it is.... Khushboo has so many layers, it can be a bit slow at times, but yet it is logical and very relatable...

Toxicity: I was also wondering why it’s so easy for men to seduce women if not fool them? In Shiddat- a happily married woman (the neighbor) is expected (by Asra and bhabi) to fall for the lecherous Sultan. Do women have no character? Ke zara kisi nay attention dee aur buss they will cross all boundaries. What kind of women are being portrayed? Not strong, decent human beings bulkay ajeeb tarah ki.

BRKRJ phophaa is really a hero. Show starting to drag. Love Shagoo and phopaa. Farhad mom is a mental patient who is having an acute psychotic episode that was triggered by the death of her husband. And her trigger was also Farhad leaving her which she associates with Freeha. People who are taking multiple anti psychotic medications can't think clearly. Actually ZQ has done a decent portrayal of mental illness and good thing is Farhad recognizes it and wants to take her to doctor. He's not justifying it. The whole conversation between Farhad and his mom, his mom denial "mein pagal nahin hoon" is very accurate. If you have lived with or treated a mental health patient you would have totally identified with this scene. I feel bad that he managed to escape a toxic home environment and now he's being dragged back in to it. He's losing all measures of self preservation. When you are dealing with mental health patients it's important to save yourself before you try to save others. You need to know where to draw a line and not get dragged down into the pit with the patient. And you can't let it hurt your spouse or children. You have to break free of generational trauma. Kiran and Farhad are getting more annoying for me. Kiran needed to take a stand or confide in Farhad 2-3 episodes back. Farhad actions under his circumstances are understandable but not justifiable. People are responsible for their actions regardless of the circumstances. His rude behavior with phopaa and phoopi is totally unreasonable. He still has a responsibility to Freeha while taking care of mom and family. And Farhad pushing Freeha is also crossing a big line for me. It should be a deal breaker in a marriage.

Thanks Amna and Hasan for highlighting this. These dramas are great at ruining beautifully started dramas like BRKR and IM. once you start and here it goes with extremely negative characters like all of us don't deal with these situations in real life and learn to cope. Can't stand Shiddat. Adela getting a verbal abuse in last episode of KSBK was cringe. worthy. Radd same toxicity for no reasons. Jane Nisar 15 minutes and DONE.

Although Salauddin ayyubi drama is not showing the true history,( we all should know this that In original history Noor ud din zengi and salauddin ayyubi were on totally different track and had nothing to do with each other ) it is still worth watching in this modern era to rebuild our faith in our fainted hearts and for Palestine isuue ❤ We should dig into Islamic history to rejuvenate our emaan

#SomethingHauteConversation Consider organising a roundtable of critics and discuss the state of Pak dramas and how things can be improved, since so many makers watch critics incl you guys. I have followed/subscribed you guys since last four years and have strongly felt the deterioration of the quality of dramas.

BRJRJ- farhads character was slowly shown to show rage in the previous weeks episode i wish you guys picked on that… thats scene where he loses it freeha is scared of him its too obvious. Farhad is generally an unhappy person who was unhappy with a corporate job, bhai your a dresh grad you will work your way up and please someone tell me how did he get a distinction without knowing any english. The phopho phopha are too sweet, the best part about the phopha is that he constantly getting insulted but he doesnt say once to his wife that man ur family is completely whacko and whats wrong with all these younger boys- wo kahin tanaa bhi nai marta and continues to encourage better relations with his in laws There was a real disconnect with one phopha phopho scene where they go earlier to saqib and saqib tells them to get lost and then they are sitting in the car leaving disappointed cut to next scene they are sitting with the family eating mithai saqib sitting between phopha phopho super strange

I don't how it is Pakistan but we have unisex gyms in India where men and women of all age groups wear tshirts and go for workout. In fact, most of the times the trainer is a male who gives support and teaches the correct posture to everyone (men and women) in gym and all this happens in Mohalle ka gym. Its pretty okay and normal here even in small towns. Anyone who is found creating trouble on floor is immediately called out and removed from gym. In fact, they are told to come at a non regular time when there is no crowd.

Yea i think that’s why they specifically said that this is not common in Pakistan
