Cole I have the Gaz adjustable and Red Dots and admit I cannot tell the friggin difference in any of the settings. Maybe I will with these. Really appreciate your perseverance and brutally hard work over the years. Hoping you can make the next MMW when MOASF is sponsoring in 2023.

I have been running these shocks for many years now. I agree with this review for sure. The overall quality is the first thing you will notice. They feel like something straight out of top level motorsports and far superior to the rest available for Minis. I have run Gaz and Spax and these these have been far and above, my fav.

Cole, my understanding is that GAZ shocks are factory rebuildable for £25 each, which seems very reasonable. Of course, you have to pay shipping back and forth.

Oh man I would love to do that! They dont really make roads in cobblestone here in Charlotte though. I have been searching for a cobblestone road here for almost 8 years to do a photoshoot with the mini hahaha.

So many Minis, so many parts, so few reviews. Glad you made this video. Currently I run the AGX evos that came in a Minispares kit together with red dot cones, a huge upgrade compared to stock. I really wonder how good these Pro Techs are in comparison.

@@classicminidiy i really like them, they handle bumps really well, are comfortable and have almost no overhang in corners. They are quite tall, you definitely need hilo's to get them to stock ride hight.

I have the GAZ shocks, as they were recommended at the time, had them on the mini for 5 years now and I'm very happy with the performance, but then I haven't got/had anything else to compare to... So are the Protec's that good/different?

Hi Cole One of my front coil over has no resistance The spring has been removed Can I top this protech unit up with oil

I don’t believe the coil overs protech makes are user serviceable but it would be best to reach out to them and ask.

Hey Edoardo! I have not had them in my car but I have ridden/driven cars that have had them and they were awesome. Very comfortable cones and according to minispares they are actual high quality rubber so they may last a long time.

If you have 12" or 13" wheels,standard shocks would be fine as you have less tyre!

In my setup (and most setups) you will need lowered. The only time you would need standard height is if your car is running standard(non-adjustable) trumpets. However most cars have been converted to hi-los and if you are any lower than factory ride height, go with the lowered shocks.
