WCW never went bankrupt. AOL-Time Warner took Turner out of power and didn’t want wrestling on their networks. Nash wasn’t the booker when Goldberg lost the title. Bischoff made that call because the streak had gotten stale and there was no one left for Goldberg to beat. FPOD happened because Hogan wanted the title back and Goldberg was getting booed. Nitro had been losing the ratings since October (with Goldberg as champ). Foley didn’t win the title until January. Nitro ratings went UP after Foley and the FPOD. They didn’t drop off until 4 months later when Goldberg, Hogan, Lugar, and Hall were all out injured. The nwo dissolved. Jericho left for WWF. And WCW changed their logo and set trying to mimic WWF.

Hall and Nash had a favored nation in their contract. That doesn't mean they were guaranteed to be the highest paid guys in the company. It just meant that they could pick ten guys and if any of the guys they picked started working for WCW and got more money than Hall and Nash, then WCW would have to match the money so they wouldn't get paid more than Hall and Nash. I believe Sting and Hogan were the only ones allowed to get paid more than Hall and Nash.

Fight Fiend Miggs Two different conversations. The one mentioned in this video is one where Vince wanted to restructure. In September, a follow-up conversation where Vince told Bret he couldn’t honor the contract, and to see if Bischoff would still give him the original contract. Vince told Bret he would keep their meeting secret so that it wouldn’t mess up a deal with WCW. Bret ended up getting the deal he wanted from Bischoff.

With all of these "Doesn't work for me Brother" comments about Hogan i really wish Hogan would come back and someone would weave this into an actual storyline where some heel faction decides to just piss off the fans by putting the belt on Hogan AGAIN and then going out of their way to defend him and prevent anyone from taking it lol Each week they'd taunt the fans about how no one is getting the belt off of Hogan anytime soon and Hogan could go full heel and embrace the whole "Doesn't work for me Brother" and make it into a shirt or something lol Idea is that Hogan isn't actually wrestling (because he's too old and it would be silly) he's just showing up and the other guys are doing the work for him and getting a kick out of just angering the smart marks lol
