I met Shawn back in 1997 after WM 13 but before KOTR. He was really cool and fun at the signing with everyone. My sister actually worked at the store he was doing the autographs and she couldn't meet him because she was on the clock. 🙄

The rockers should have gotten an official tag team championship run. They won them during a Saturday night's main event taping against the hart foundation, but because the Top rope broke halfway through the match. It became a train wreck with one of the worst finishes for a team's first title run, so they ended up not showing it on TV. And took the titles off their rockers and gave them back to the heart foundation, and there's no official record of the rockers, winning the tag team titles. Unless they decided to change that and add them as former tag team champions

I still think that HBK and Hart's backstage beef robbed the industry of what could have been the greatest working rivalry of all time. Both were legendary workers/sellers and story tellers. Both still had their unique flaws, while not crippling flaws or even below average, were still gaps nonetheless. HBK's natural charisma actually brought out some of Hart's best mic work (Which everyone knows was Hart's biggest flaw.). Hart's ability to generate organic offense complemented HBK's much more reactive style (HBK's flaw was always the lack of ability to lead a match and really set the offensive tone.).

Him picking out every word and seemingly walking on eggshells around each and every sentence makes it very difficult to listen to his interviews. Don’t get me wrong, HBK is the man. Grew up watching him in the 90s. I just couldn’t tell initially if he’s a bit scatterbrained (starts a story and ends up on a tangent) or what… but I think he’s just trying to be extremely cautious in how he represents himself and to not get misquoted.
