Everyone shows their love to their kids diffrent. He in is lectures is a serious man but when his kid called him you can hear how everybody laughed he was a bit embaressed. But you can still see his little smile and how he said: ,,Subhanallah‘‘. That shows how he loves his son.

Guys ik alotta families (especially in South Asian homes) where the son doesn't even wanna call the father and would prefer the dad not be at home. Seeing a son keep calling his father is a sign of love and it means that the relationship between the father & his son is strong.
