Yes, I thought the same thing. For the safety of the neighbors and teenagers who party in abandoned houses, if they smoke, or if they go at night and light candles, that's all it takes...

I believe you let the story freak you out way too much. I believe Gracie was his sister who once lived in the home. All her stuff was just left there where she left. Son stayed around to help his mom, maybe. But your reading too much into this explore.

You really should have put those pictures back in the envelopes. There is a unspoken promise that you leave an abandoned home as you found it. And yes it is sad how her life ended. But she collected kitten decor and decorated a home with it. She had faith in her son to care for her as unfortunate as that was.We have to celebrate her life as well. He must have been a very mentally ill man to see his mother like that and to live so deplorable himself. The big picture is important in a case like this.

Loved the intro with the backstory. I read somewhere is was an alcoholic and a hoarded. When EMT arrived, he carried his mother downstairs. She was covered from head to toe with feces and her underpants were down below her knees. She was in critical condition and later died at the hospital. This poor woman and what was done to her by her son breaks my heart.

We really enjoyed the back story also! I wish more explorers would do this with all of their videos! Trying to not say where the abandoned places are isn't really necessary as if viewers truly want to find it they will & can. Giving the back story is always more interesting. You can do it without giving exact informative such as addresses etc also. So we really enjoyed hearing the story!

You never know, if your husband goes first, what God has waiting for you and you alone.. it may open wonderful doors for you, born out of pain and grief. Do not neglect your gifts. Pray and give thanks, ask your heart to open to Gods plan. You are glorious. You are loved by a mighty love. How lovely to have such a love for your man, but when/if that time comes, you will celebrate that experience, but you must let him go with a full heart. He has his journey, you yours. The pill is Amlodipine. It is used to treat hypertension and coronary disease. I assume she was unable to swallow pills or eat/drink anything at all for months prior to her death. The court documents stated she was severely malnourished with large gaping bedsores from neglect. A septic condition amidst other diagnoses most likely culminated in her untimely and gruesome demise. Very sad.

@@lisahobbs8972yes it is heartbreaking but I still think a life sentence is a bit much though.....there's always at least 2 sides to a story and the news only reports the jury outcome. Maybe she was really controlling him and she was abusive, who knows. At some point Alan was doing something right if he graduated from ITT tech. Engineers are not always the most well trained when it comes to geriatric care just sayin here I only mention this to give a possible counterpoint. I know everybody is blaming Alan but what if the story was about a daughter who neglected her sick dad? Then everybody would be saying it was the dad's fault and he deserved it just sayin

I wish there were some pictures of her and him in better times. The neighbor lady seemed to know her and said she was a wonderful lady. So sad. Sometimes adult children of elderly people can't handle their parent getting old and ill. If they are dependent on them for emotional support, they may deteriorate emotionally as well especially living with an ill person everyday. That being said, he did have enough sense to call for help? but according to this story, she wanted to die in her own home? That "home" in itself was also old and deteriorating. She still deserved to be cared for. There's no excuse because how she was found was only do to long standing criminal neglect.. He really had no excuse. My question is where was her doctor? She had blood pressure meds? . You have to see a doctor to prescribe and refill them. Was she not taking them? That son and her doctor failed her. But was he an untreated mental patient? Smh 😢💔🙏
@resetsetmefree478
@resetsetmefree478 5 ай бұрын
@@tinyvr7036 you have a very good point when you say that the adult child (her son in this case) can be drained and suffer from mental illness as a result of being in that situation. Maybe Alan tried his best to get mom to take her meds but she refused. Sadly that's how old people are sometimes especially those with dementia Yes it would be good to see some family photos of them during happier and better times. The son was apparently doing something right back in the day if he graduated from ITT tech. Electronics techs are not always the best at geriatric care because those are 2 completely different fields So I understand your point. Still though him getting life I think is a bit much

Being a health care professional myself I learned to be easy and caring for the elderly. My daddy died in 2017 he was bounced from hospital to hospital for different conditions. I stayed day and night with him the whole time. The doctor came in and told me that he had to have a feeding tube put in then I knew he would not be with us long. I brought him home and my mommy was with him but I had to give him his liquid food,diabetic shots and other medications crushed if mommy went near him he would try to hurt her. Later found out he had dementia. He went back to the hospital and he passed away . I will never forget what I did for him and I still miss him today.Mommy had to move in with my family and I had to take care of her from 2017-2021 and she passed away . I am the only one in my family other than my husband and son left in my family. I miss them both very terribly every single day. It was not easy but I would do it again if needed.

Yah those footsteps freaked me out! I can't believe he stayed or even went up in that attic. See how sick he was getting before the footsteps? There was definitely something in that house. He felt it soon as he walked into that house!😮

When you feel sick, nauseous and want to leave...LEAVE. Turn around and get out when you have that sensation. It's not her "hanging around". Im glad you ignored it and didn't give it an audience, but it's always best to walk away.

I'd love to know the backstory on the family. What did they do for a living, particularly the mother?. That was probably once a beautiful home. Might have been quite costly at one point. But it's out of place in that neighborhood. To live in a house in that condition says a lot about the physical and/or mental state of the person(s). She also had a daughter. What's her story? Where was she when all of this was going on?
