My dad looked at this house in the early 2000’s when it was for sale. I remember it being in good condition back then. My grandfather and I stood out in the front yard and wouldn’t enter because the Relator told us about what happened to the child.

I cannot believe that beautiful house is being left to rot! The inside is actually still in surprisingly great condition. Why did the last owners abandon it? U can see it was being renovated, there are even large buckets of paint or spackle in the kitchen. Someone could squat in there and end up taking over. I don't know the squatter laws in Alabama but SOMEONE needs to save that beautiful home.

Well let alone it's tragic history and the majority of people being scared of and believing in "the other side" When the restoration would cost upwards of 5x more than the house itself is even worth,no renovator/investor is gonna take that risk of dumping a half a million dollars into a house worth 20k dollars and no one still buys it because of its dark history.

We're talking old galvanized pipes from 1985, led paint on the walls and window sills, old outdated wiring, not to eeven mention the giant pillars that have fallen out of place that hold up the roof/overhang, best bet for that place is to just bless the land and tear it down

I could see this happening, I'm 61, but back in early 70's my stepfather was really messed up in the head and cruel, I would be working in the garden and if i was bending over, he would kick me in the butt just to see me tumble over, I finally left home at the age of 13 after he burnt up all of our furniture that my father bought when my parents were married.

As you stated in your video, this house is owned by the Air Force in Alaska and co-owned by Raytheon/ Cobra-Dane Project. They collect radar metric and signature data on foreign ballistic missile events. It is part of a defense system , and is most likely in a strategic place.

I imagine anyone who tried it sensed something very off or sinister about that house. It's been rumored that any time a horrific event like that takes place anywhere it leaves a spiritual "scar" in that spot so to speak. I wouldn't be surprised if the boy's soul is stuck there.

The people that lived in the house were evil not the house. That house is actually still beautiful even after all these years too. It still has a lot of the original windows, staircase, wood floors and crown molding. Probably be a great fixer upper too. Whoever did would have to make a memorial to the adopted son and help put the spirit to rest but it can be done and tastefully too. Thanks for sharing and have a great day

It looks like a newer metal roof. You can tell from one of the pictures you posted that it obviously wasn’t the same roof as when the newspaper published the story of the murder.

It looks to me that at some point, someone was trying to rehab this place. All the 5 gallon paint cans and all the patched walls leads me to believe so. Also, in the kitchen, those cabinets are new! Also the counter tops were also probably fairly new since that was what was used at the time. Who knows what truly happened or why restoration was not complete. Very sad…

Exactly! I wonder why they abandoned it? They put a lot of work into it. The entire inside looks very good. It could still be restored! The outside needs the most work but the inside is almost completely done aside from some cosmetic stuff. I noticed a hole in the ceiling in the hallway upstairs too. If I had the money and the nerve to move all the way to Alabama I would love to oen and restore that house. The pantry in the kitchen is lije my dream come true 😂😂 I love big pantries!! The open space in this house is my dream too. It's perfect.
