My mom paid my car insurance when I was in college. Actually the car I drove was hers. I paid for the gas and routine maintenance. So thankful for her. My mom’s side is the kind to help support you in your goals but not coddle you and still hold you responsible. Two people on my dad’s side told me they had to drop out of community college because they owed less than $200 and no one in the family would give or lend them the money although they were in a position to. One of them joined the military and was able to finish college later.
