This brought back wonderful memories of him belting out this tune! He was a small guy (5’6” and 120 lbs if you soaked him good), but he had a beautiful deep baritone voice. This was one he would sing out! We always said it was his song! And he was truly a humble, kind man. So it was all in jest. Just like with you Keith. You strike me as a quiet, kind and humble man, but don’t piss you off! Just like Daddy. Love you both, love your channel! Keep up the good work! ❤️🙏😇

Well I just left my butt off. This was hilarious not just the song and oak dear God not just the paint thinner. But y'all's reactions were priceless. Mac Davis was from Lubbock Texas and he was a prolific and great songwriter but he also had a Texan sense of humor and did get rather funny and occasionally. I remember the look on my mama's face the first of the time this played on the radio and then I remembered her bending over and laughing so hard that I think she came close to breaking a rib and brought back some good memories guys.

I recently heard this for the 1st time on country radio and I thought it was a Rodney Carrington song lol. I was raised on OG country I must of missed this one as a kid or my parents dropped the ball. I only vaguely remember hearing Mac Davis name a few times. Dandy Don Meredith, Bo Svenson, Charles Durning WFL player Tommy Reamon, Raider John Mantuszak.
