When I saw the upload on Discord, the thought of "hey, it’d be so cool if they both sang in the original language" crossed my mind! But then I was like "it might be kinda hard to do it since it’s a mix of a good ton of languages" BUT HEY!! I was very happy to see that this random thought turned out to be correct! The origin of this song is from a game named NieR: Replicant (or NieR: Gestalt, since there’s a Japanese and Western version release of the same game). Although not perfect and having its flaws, it’s one of the best games, musically and narratively speaking. The plot is very convoluted, but has a TON of depth. Definitely a game that is in my top 5 and so worth experiencing multiple times and looking into the lore of it all! NieR: Automata is up there too in greatness.
