Sounds like a solemn ode to a sun just about to go supernova, sung by a species taking one last look upon their home system before warping out never to return. I think it would be more terrifying with our own sun dying. It won't go supernova cause that only happens with larger stars. Our sun will expand into a red giant an then I think it will burn out. I'm currently writing an article on the importance of music in occult ritual. You nailed it!
@kcmisulis4253 жыл бұрын
You know, I guess I never thought too much about it, but it's true how important music is to occult. I like reading about the occult as a hobby; and this channel tends to get me thinking about it. I remember recently reading one of the occult texts which is very popular in those circles, and without the context of the music and the right mood, it just seemed odd and petty and not well thought through. Next time, I'll try putting something in the background as I'm reading, and see if I can capture some of that original sense of dark mystery which the occult can bring on.

Here we lay our prayer's upon the altar. Our voices burning with what little faith we have in our mortal vessels. The sun has grown bleak and pale and we fear our fates if it should cease. On our knees we exude the last songs of the sun, seeking to return life to it. Yet even with the fading of a tree, the death of a deer, and the end of man, so too, shall the Sun fade into the black void.

When everyone you have ever loved is finally gone When everything you have ever wanted is finally done with When all of your nightmares are for a time obscured As by a shining brainless beacon Or a blinding eclipse of the many terrible shapes of this world When you are calm and joyful And finally entirely alone Then in a great new darkness You will finally execute your special plan One needs to have a plan, someone said who was turned away into the shadows And who I had believed was sleeping or dead Imagine, he said, all the flesh that is eaten The teeth tearing into it The tongue tasting its savour And the hunger for that taste Now take away that flesh, he said Take away the teeth and the tongue The taste and the hunger Take away everything as it is That was my plan My own special plan for this world I listened to these words and yet I did not wonder If this creature whom I had thought sleeping or dead would ever approach his vision Even in his deepest dreams Or his most lasting death Because I had heard of such plans, such visions And I knew they did not see far enough But what was demanded in a way of a plan Needed to go beyond tongue and teeth and hunger and flesh Beyond the bones and the very dust of bones and the wind that would come to blow the dust away And so I began to envision a darkness that was long before the dark of night And a strangely shining light That owed nothing to the light of day

The book starts pretty random, with a romance straight out cheap romance novels...but then came the part of "The Sun Has died..." And there are implications in the book far far more awful than in other horror books. Give it a read if you can.
