*Important update for any newcomers:* I admire the optimism for the official Songs of War series to return, I really do. Unfortunately, there was an incident that essentially drove any small remaining chances of that happening straight to zero. You see, after the series was cancelled, the director (whose name you probably know from the video, but I will not mention due to reasons you will see in a moment) left the Black Plasma Studios channel to pursue a career in making games, as Songs of War season 1 ended up not being as successful as he'd hoped. With the announcement that the series was canceled, the script for seasons 2 and 3 were released. While this severely diminished the chances of the official series making a return, this did not stop fans from continuing in their place. People began animating scenes and even entire episodes, using the script as a foundation. It was still somewhat okay for the Songs of War fanbase, all in all. At least, it was okay. Up until the incident, that is. One day, a young girl known to be working for Black Plasma Studios came forward, revealing that the series' director had been grooming her while she was underage (I don't remember when she said it started, but the age of 13 was mentioned in there). Not only that, but she was able to actually prove it. The community, and the channel, quickly fell into shambles. The director stopped all updates on his game, groups of fans stopped all work on projects related to Songs of War, and the channel ended up rebranding itself to Squared Media in an attempt to cut ties with you-know-who. If anything, we're lucky that the series is even still publicly available. All in all, the future of the series is now essentially in the gutter. The channel wants as little connection to him as possible, so they're most DEFINITELY not going to bring back a series that a child predator's name is HEAVILY associated with. It sucks that Songs of War was cut short, but what sucks EVEN MORE is that its legacy was tainted by the actions its own creator.

IF YOU READ THIS..... Thank you very much for the entire summary, all these years I was overwhelmed and I never understood what happened, until now. The news hurts me, how is it possible that probably the best Minecraft animation and... I won't waste any more words complaining and I just wanted to thank you for the information and without anything else to say I also thank you for the animations that remained and the fandub that saved the series animating what was left in the script.

In the cancellation announcement on Black Plasma Community, David said that they earned less than $1 for every 1000 views, but the patrons made up for the difference and were the main reason they took so long deciding whether or not to continue. Edit: Oops, didn't see video release date.

As much as I hate to say it, that'll probably never happen. They rebranded the channel in an attempt to cut ties with the director after the incident. Bringing back a series that his name is heavily associated with would make that essentially pointless.

As a person with pretty much 0 childhood. songs of war is something i remember looking forward to the episodes every weekend i think so.I will probably re-watch it again sometime. I am extremely sad that there will be no official season 2 they also changed their name from black plasma studios which i found out like yesterday.

I think one of the saddest things is while I got to the finale when reading the script, I thought how good the soundtrack for Season 2 and 3 would have been if it wasn’t cancelled. I know that some of the soundtrack for the other seasons were in the extended material album but still. THE SOUNDTRACK WOULD HAVE BEEN AT LEAST AS WELL IF NOT, BETTER THAN SEASON 1!!!!!

If it could happen one day. I loved the series. Its beautiful. The fanmade are ok. I love the stories of Minecraft past. Like grom corinthius. And others. I hope they make a new series with a similar story. Nir the same universe obviously. But still something that cam bring you in and give you an escape. 😊 I heard the story if why it stopped. Story writters,if it ever happens to plan out for a show's story but the show gets cancelled with bo intention to come back, *at least tell us what was planned to happen in the story!* Fanmade versions of the continuation exist,but we will never those if those are what the original was meant to be,and probably are not.
