Since this is supposed to be a concert it makes sense to thank the band members. It’s illogical to do it with other shows because the bands are under the stages or not accessible to the stage and it would take you out of the show.

Fun fact. Samantha Pauly was Standby for an Evita Re Run and like all Broadway Musicals the people who play Leads get vocal training so Samantha has vocal training from her Evita days and also from SIX which results in her being so comfortable being so high up in her range since Eva Peron has a bunch of high notes to sing 8 shows a week as well as in SIX.

I guess the best comparison would be hamilton or waitress (maybe) - It is one of the few musicals that came from the UK and with it being our history people feel very protective and whilst the are other casts they are much less jarring to hear from a British POV with the Australia accent very similar to British and the cruise ships being mostly (if not all) British cast so there is a running them but the America cast so vastly different which is not bad just jarring. So I think that the fandom easily the brits are very protective maybe more so and don't want it to be "lost" to the Americans as often happens with British orientated media with people often commenting there is a British "version" so along with this and the fact it is our history people get very protective and defensive over it
