She did a live talk right after the release, and said that the vocals were recorded in 2017 when she wrote the song and they are the first recording of them. She said that she loved the first recording so they called it done, and just kept it. But she said that she wasn't ready personally to release it then, but the virus got in the way so the shot this video during lock down, her and her two sisters made all the costumes in less than a week, the two dancers are her best friends that live nearby. She said the empty seats are because this isn't a show, it is how she feels, there is no one watch. Oh, and she plays harp so that is what you are hearing.

IMO "It happened Quiet" from Nidarosdomen sound to me not relaxed and with some uncertainties, she probably felt the place too much. I consider the one of Live at The Current kzbin.info/www/bejne/b4aQf2mCpt-Xf68 her best version - ok it's a studio version, but there she perform very comfortable, much more than Nidarosdomen and this is perceived immediately. Not secondary, she's filmed superlatively well, fantastic close-ups.

Every once and a while an artist comes along who is so far ahead of everyone else in terms of the art of music and makes music the art form that it should be,Aurora is one of those artists as a songwriter and you will find this as you listen to her original songs, they fill your mind with so many thoughts about life and make you think so deeply about the real things that matter in life, and you can tell strait away how genuine she is and has thought deeply about the subject matter she writes about, when you put that together with a voice that is from another planet wow! I have seen her live and trust me I'm 63 and seen many artists over my life and no one moved me the way aurora did, forget all of your over sexualised mainstream rubbish this young girl is special, she sings from her heart with a genuine love for everything especially those who are searching to be listened to and loved,a very special human,it's why we love her❤️🍏❤️🍏

What is interesting about this song, is that Aurora in a stream tell that the vocal and gitar is the first recording she did of it, together with Magnuson gitar, just as a demo. But she didnt want to replace neither of those because, as she said: music isnt about perfection, but about catching the emotions. And if you listen to her stream she performs the song live playing the piano, and she doesnt have the "perfect" internet connection, that it even makes the song better, sound like its recorded in the 30´s. Check out the stream here : kzbin.info/www/bejne/ppvPaZSla91-Y9k

Thanks for a good reaction. She is by far my fav artist. With Aurora you get the whole package. With a voice like no other and a personality to match. Just a joy to watch. And to think that the audio they used in the video is the first demo recording. She didnt want a "polished" studio version but rather this one. A more raw version. With flaws and all. Although what she means by flaws I really dont know, lol. Its so different from anything else she have made but the Aurora DNA is all over it. I just happend by you-tube at the exact moment it was released and I could't stop listening and watching that night. I tell you, it was heaven. I love all of Auroras songs, but this is not my favourite, but I do like it :) Thank you for all your Aurora reactions, have watched through all of them, and as you stated in your video, the staging of Auroras videoes, especially her Music Video's is thoughtful and wonderful, and often very meaningful. Like in this 40' type of "burlesque", where the opening is inspired by of the world famous picture of botticelli's "The Birth of Venus" (the godess of love). She in an empty theater, with empty seats, cause it was made during covid19, and she made it "cause the world needed a little bit of love right now," she said in an interview. You should react to her Music video "the seed" the bass drop in that song, you can feel it in your stomach, if you use good headphones:) and its such an uplifting and call to arms type of song with hope and inspiration :) here is a link to it :) kzbin.info/www/bejne/lX7GkIKDatSBd5o or this acapella version of her song "through the eyes of a child" link here :kzbin.info/www/bejne/eXfddquLg5aBbqs These are my favourite Aurora songs, and her song daydreamer is uplifting and great too!! If you haven't already, you should listen to "It Happened Quiet" live from Nidarosdomen. Nidarosdomen is a very old (and very large) church in her native Norway. She's backed by an orchestra and it's a full concert, but this particular one is the highlight (for me and many others) Extremey powerful, fantastically beautiful, entrancing. Yes, this has a retro aspect to it (and definitely references the Botticelli painting, as well as 1930's/40's performances). A very infectious arrangement. In some ways different from her other songs, but nevertheless very Aurora-esque (I find it playing in my mind). I recommend reacting to some of her live performances -- 'The Seed' live at the HAIK Concert (performed in a forest); or perhaps 'It Happened Quiet,' 'Little Boy in the Grass,' or 'Through the Eyes of a Child' at her Christmas concert in a Cathedral (with her band, plus orchestral ensemble and chorus).

Aaaaand, the vocal track is her original demo track from 2017 when she wrote the song and recorded the demo. So it's new/old. She did a live stream (also on KZbin) when the video dropped where she explained about the song, the video production - and also played the song for us on her piano. She said that the energy of her intent in the song was best on the demo track, so she did not re-record it for the video. I thought the roaring '20s production vibe was so playful and delightful.

Thank you so much for the detailed descriptions of what was going on, it helped me a lot to listen more intently for the technicalities that make one feel those emotions apart from just the words... For example after you mentioned, I just realized how the base sometimes sounds like a beating heart, and it recreates a more visceral experience of those first moments of falling in love with somebody and the sensations that come with it... I don't know if it's something you'd be interested in or think is appropriate in your professional vocal analysis, but something that I wished would be touched on a bit more was the subject matter itself and how it's dealt with lyrically ... highlighting how the form is or isn't complementing the content... Please react to her other songs as well... like 'the seed' or 'daydreamers' ... they have interesting arrangements and compositions as well... to say the least!
