I think what makes him so terrifying is not the boss itself, but the arena. You're cornered and have to run for your dear life as this thing chases you and makes sounds of pure fear, and you don't know when it'll pop up when you run away or look for him, so you're almost always inches away from it catching you. Combine the fear of being chased down by a bloodthirsty ghost with that rock horror music, you've got one terrifying encounter. And I love it. I love levels that give off this type of fear, just pure tension and fear of being chased

AnjumSings This boss isn't hard to beat. Just dodge the fireballs that King Boom Boo throws, but don't go too far, too early. The right time to hit the ghost underneath the hourglass is while King Boom Boo is in the middle of breathing fire. Then, before the timer on the hourglass runs out, get underneath his shadow to dig him out, and then when he comes out, run after him, and land a hit on him. To be on the safe side, just do one hit at a time.

I remember it took me a good 10 minutes to beat this thing as a kid, the first time anyway. eventually, I memorized his attacks and how many fire balls he throws. At full health until half, he throws 5. below half he throws 7. And once he's at half, he starts to go faster and you always got to run towards the pillar in the middle to run faster but not too fast otherwise you'll end up hearing "BRUUUUHBRUUH.. BRUHHHBRUHH HAHAHAHAHAHAHA" over and over again, which is annoying and still creeps me the fuck out today lmao so I make sure to not go too fast. The same running towards the pillar method works too when you have to dig him out of the ground, if you're able to perfect it, you can run fast enough to hit him 4 times in one go and beat him in a minute.

This boss reminds me of pacman. The hourglass is the powerup pellets, the ghost is well, the, ghost, Rings are normal pellets, And knuckles is pacman

Yes it is. Keep running after you attack him the first time. If you're closer to the center, then you will cover less distance, making it easier to catch him. Before any of this, you must dig in his shadow as soon as possible.
