we literally had colors, lost world, sonic mania, sonic origins, sonic superstars, sonic colors ultimate, lost world rerelease, the kart games, And even frontiers isnt totally a boost game, All since the release of unleashed... oh and sonic forces.. but ew

@@sonic-bb I don't tend to consider spinoffs into the main series like the kart games. Mania, Lost World I'd say aren't boosting games. Origins was the "GTA Definitive Edition" version of the Genesis games. Colours, Forces, and Frontiers do play the whole "hold boost to win" aspect. Frontiers had a little more than that outside of the stages/levels, but not really that much. Colours, Forces, Unleashed, Modern Generations, and the stages/levels of Frontiers all practically played the same. There's one stage in Frontiers that to get the best time (I think it was level 2 or something? It's been a while since I played) you're practically need to both play it tight/perfect with a ton of boosting to get the best time on it.

@@DemonicAkumi the boost was severely limited in colors, forces, and frontiers. Especially in colors. Colors had far more slow playforming sections than boost sections. And the boost sections that were there were nothing like generations. Just a quick boost into side scrolling platforming. And frontiers, boosting in the simulation stages were short and limited. You don’t have to consider the spin off games as part of the main series. But they were still sonic game releases.

The gameplay looks cute and I can see it being pretty fun once it’s polished up! Glad to know there are people out there passionate enough about Chao to finally take it into their own hands!

If your Chao is starting out, it won't be able to win any races right away. You have to build it's stats first. Cheering it on won't do much if your Chao has low stamina and low stats. There's stats like flying, climbing, swimming, flying, running, ect. There's also Chao Karate that was added in the Battle version of SA2 that was pretty fun.

I wonder if it will have a Kindergarten, a Doctor, mating, reincarnation, a special Light Bobo. Maybe a Hero Dark and more types. Maybe animals or something equivalent to make your Bobo evolve into certain looks? The possibilities.

hey dev here! - yeah there will be training spot like the kindergarten - doctor yep - mating already in the alpha on Thursday! with genotypes and alleles and al that - yep evolution occurs - there are 5 species of bobo. only one in this demo. each species has 5 forms though. Plus i have 4 sheens like shiny, glowing, metal, and transparent.

This game looks pretty cute! It kinda reminds me of a Cool Math game I played along time ago except you have to carry the Stat boosting items on the map over to what you are training and you can't get Stat boosting items from spinning a wheel

It was only on Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 and some GBA Sonic games, don’t think the GBA Sonic games got ported to the Switch but I know Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 are not on the Switch. Sonic Adventure 2 has a more expanded Chao Garden than 1 and there’s a mod that further makes it expanded through the Steam version. But don’t worry, Sonic Adventure 2 was from the DreamCast era so it will run on most machines just fine.

If you have a PC made in the last 14 years it can probably run the Steam port of Sonic Adventure 2. Sonic Adventure 2 is also on Xbox live arcade (360) and PS3. 360 works with backwards compatibility, and I read that PS Now has it if you are okay with gaming on the cloud.

the camera and the movement really looks like the chao garden, the camera is closer to the character just like in sa2, and the movement, gets faster like in sa1 & 2!
