@@gabrielfm92yeah its not complicated lol goku is insanely overpowered, you can just stay in base form and use kaioken to make huge kamehameha's that just delete enemies. although i guess he's complicated in the sense that theres a lot of keybinds to use

genuinely so happy to see ror2 rep also for jo since he didnt know why bosses spawn as the difficulty increases the game basically gets more “money” faster that it can use to spawn enemies in a certain time frame (harder ones costing more) so like elites and bosses can start being afforded later into runs - minus like the special conditions ones its a really interesting way to scale difficulty :3

What makes Risk of Rain 2 so good to me is that it satisfies the same part of my brain that Kirby Air Ride's City Trial can, where you can play a million times and have completely different experiences based on how you modify your stats.

The game spawns boss monsters because the game has an AI named the "combat director" that gets a certain amount of money every so often. Spawning monsters costs money. And if it has a lot of money it will spawn more or stronger monsters. As the difficulty increases the rate at which the director accumulates money increases exponentially. There's a mod that lets a player be the combat director btw
