Some other things to note if you're curious: - Hydrocity has a different BG - You can debug in a Super Box in Hydrocity and become Super that way, with quite interesting results in the water palette-wise - Launch Base Zone 2, IIRC, has most of the cutscene where you go to the Big Arms arena except you just stop in place part-way past Knuckles punching your vehicle and then getting knocked off his platform, for whatever reason - Some & Knuckles stages are accessible in the Stage Select with a bit of trickery although they got the Sonic 2 Hidden Palace Treatment at that point in development (they're just garbled graphics if not also slightly broken in general)... however enough of some of the stages still remains to have had people restore them to the best they could. (Lava Reef Zone has definitely been restored with both acts to as high of a degree as possible) - There isn't much else to see in Flying AAAAAA Zone BTW if you debug past that blockade - Angel Island Zone 1's boxes do seem to indeed be Eggboxes behaviour-wise by the looks of other playthroughs of this prototype - You can play the Competition Stages in this prototype and they have Sonic 3 sprites for the characters in there (2P VS options in Stage Select).
