I was at the cafe in the queue waiting to order the dishes on Sonic’s birthday and when my sister and I heard this bit we literally screamed I’m glad we weren’t eating then because I’m pretty sure I would’ve choked on said food too 🤣

@@jersont.3339 in sonic x's original japanese ver, they also call their home "green hill" so i guess they simplified south island down to "green hill" over time. but they also constantly contradict this with tails living near the mystic ruins, amy in station square and sonic living nowhere at all. very strange

@@ThisGreenDingo tails doesn't live in mystic ruins he has a laboratory there, the only house we've seen from tails is the one in sonic battle, as for amy i doubt she kept living in station square after chaos destroyed the city, she also has another department in central city

7:36 tails talking about buttons lead to sonic and knuckles butting heads again lol I like how they have that friendly rivalry going on It starts with sonic being playful then knuckles responds with that same attitude then it keeps building up into a bit of a competition Very sassy

I still can't believe Shadow bought Sonic birthday dinner in 2024. Their bond is so sweet! Super sweet tie in to Sonic x Shadow Generation, where Shadow had to miss Sonic's birthday party due to Black Doom.

Cool to see westopolis mentioned. The wording on the shadow food part is weird but I interpret it like a spontaneous ‘hot dog eating contest’ type of thing like they aren’t just racing eachother on foot, they are racing eachother in the context of eating food too. Sorta Like those scenes of vegeta and goku eating big meals together really fast and fighting over who gets the majority of the bowls and plates. Can’t remember what episode it was in but I’m sure it was in dragon ball super. But sonics version here seems to be more of a fair/equal competition than just simple fighting over who eats the most of the food. Which is cool that it’s distinctly unique enough from Dragon ball!
