These Special Stages are underrated. They’re one of the best in my opinion (better than Heroes’ and Rush’s Special Stages).

I agree with you! hell, they're just so piss easy! I already got 4 Chaos Emeralds, I just got 3 more to go. The only thing you need to worry about in the stages are the hazards and enemies because they can throw a lot of curveballs at you, causing you to loose all of your rings that will get you in a Special Stage. The good news is, the stages are filled with rings, but you have to keep your eyes out for them and make sure you don't get lost in the stage (sometimes that might happen, but there is a 63% chance you'll get through the level).

Yes, and they were easy! My brother and I beat this game no problem! Except we had to collect the Red Star Rings and get S-Ranks in every mission and stage which were practically the most diificult things to do.

The music going faster and faster as the stage progresses... Omg this was so catchy when playing, and still is.

Since I couldn't do this with a mouse, I used a Wii remote with the pointer controlling the cursor. The Wii remote is why Sonic is twitchy. It's not as accurate as a mouse, but I'm better at aiming that way instead of using a mouse.

I used to just watch Sonic run without touching the touch screen to start the special stage after getting all seven chaos emeralds.

Ah, yes. The classic half-pipe style of Special Stage. Except now the spike balls SatAN sprinkled in are debatably less unavoidable, the draw distance is actually reasonable enough to warrant even attempting completion, you don’t get punished all the time with a laggy CPU follower, and the entire thing is fun enough not to speed shave like a good thirteen years off your lifespan every time you play.
