I think it's very likely that people will figure out how to port the game if it's in Unity and most likely it is considering Hardlight's expertise. Emulation is unlikely because people simply didn't care enough about it since there weren't any important exclusives.

I can’t really say I’m happy about this game, it is a mobile game after all. But I know whole bunch of kids can eat more Sonic content, which is pretty nice. Especially since this looks like a pretty cool mobile game. I’m just really happy to see Rouge and Cream making a comeback. I’ve missed so many of the modern characters, and this is giving me real Sonic X nostalgia

The level design is more like the more open levels of Sonic Generations like Sky Sanctuary, Speed highway and Seaside Hills with the slope manipulation of SA1.

I ALWAYS loved Roger as Sonic from the first time I heard him, but IMO making his voice lower kind of takes the cartoony part away from a cartoon character. It’s like if the VA for Goofy had to sound less enthusiastic and goofy in order for us to “take him seriously,” in his movie. It wouldn’t work. The other Sonic actors before and after Roger NEVER had to do that. Sure, they had to tone it down sometimes, but that’s different from not sounding cartoony completely. Most people still take there performance’s seriously. I LOVED the performances from everyone in Frontiers, but having a cartoony voice doesn’t equal not sounding serious. Especially since stuff like the show “Bluey,” with actual KID actors existing. Idk, I’m also guilty of enjoying Roger in Rise of the Wisp and Boom which didn’t have too many serious moments, but the little they did sounded great. I understand if anyone disagrees though. I might just be taking things too seriously.😅

Apple one sub gives you more bang for your buck, (if you’re an iPhone user) and includes arcade. They’re all mobile games, but arcade has some fun options and they’re add/micro-transaction free. You might end up enjoying it.

I'm really disappointed that this game is Apple exclusive. I've heard that Apple was funding the game so it makes sense, but I feel less inclined to buy a non-gaming Apple device to play one game than, say, buying a Wii to play Sonic Colors. I hope it gets ported to Android or console/pc so I can play it without wasting my money on a device I'll likely never use again afterwards. The game itself looks interesting, but I wonder if it being a mobile game will hinder how fun it would be. I definitely prefer the aesthetic over the hyperrealistic look of Frontiers, but I still think the best looking Sonic games balance style and realism, like Unleashed, Colors, and Generations. I also wonder if the gameplay will be more like sandboxes with end goals like the classic or Adventure games, or will be more obstacle course-esque like the Boost games. The Boost games are my favorite since they feel more challenging and rewarding to beat, but I've enjoyed the Adventure games and wouldn't mind a return to that style.

I'd like to play Sonic Dream Team but I'm another Android user and I can't afford anything that needs to be bought to play that mobile game, I hope it does get ported. Yeah, Jun Senoue did an awsome job on the scores for the Adventure games along with composing the rock music for the theme songs of each of those games (Open your heart + Live and learn,) SEGA really should bring him back to produce the scores of future Sonic games! As for that Tails voice, you're not a Colleen O'Shaughnessey, (Tails' current English VA for the games and the movies,) either.(Nothing against you, just a funny joke.)

I swear, with Frontiers bringing back bigger stories, actually controlling Sonic and not just blasting through with Sonic speed (I’m not hating on the boost formula, if we’re talking Unleashed and Generations then I absolutely love it, but not with Forces, and Colors is somewhat in the middle), and playable characters other than Sonic that are actually different from him and aren’t just Sonic skins like Shadow in Forces, and now with Dream Team keeping the latter two (not sure about the bigger story thing yet), the 2020’s have really become a time where Sega and Sonic Team seem to be showing that hopefully they’re finally done running from the past and will learn from their mistakes in 06 and it’s about time

I’m perfectly fine with Apple getting an exclusive. It doesn’t hurt me, but I wish Apple would put Arcade online or have a windows app. I don’t imagine anyone’s buying Apple devices for Arcade, so it wouldn’t hurt their bottom line. They put Apple TV and Apple Music on non Apple devices, so there’s precedent for it. And it would increase their revenue for windows users who are willing to subscribe to try games like this.

This is the game I've been waiting for. Most Sonic games either focus on 4 things. Speed, platforming, exploration or a balance of all 3. In the classic games Sonic 1 focused on platforming, Sonic 2 on speed, Sonic CD on expolration and Sonic 3&K balanced all 3. SA1 focused on exploration, SA2 and Shadow on speed with Heroes and 06 on platforming. Unleashed and Forces focused on speed, colours and lost world on platforming and Generations balanced all 3 in its levels. If you look care fully there has never been an adventure game that balanced all 3 or a fully exploration based boost game. Dream team is the exploration based boost game I've always wanted. I can't wait to be able to play it eventually.

@@CrashtoHedgehog I don't count Frontiers as a boost game and more so a game with the boost in it the same way just because it has the spin dash doesnot mean it is an adventure game, it's its own thing. I would call it an open zone formula platforming game. If you realise just because the area is open doesn't mean it was exploration based. By this logic 06 is exploration based like SA1 when it really more heavily emphasises platforming. Frontiers is in the same boat, a lot of collectables aren't hidden but in plain sight, the real challenge is to platforming up to them so you can grab them. With the way Sonic DT is going the next mainline game will be an proper exploration based open zone game.

Same here. I knew nothing about arcade, but I really love the model. Pay by month and get a library of ad/micro-transaction free games. Had way too much nostalgia fun with frogger, and stardew valley makes bus rides fly by.

I'm beginning to notice a direct correlation between Rouge's appearance in media and the masking of her boobs. The more they reduce/hide them or redesign her, the more she appears. I've always been conflicted over her design, right from the start, because it just seemed way too much. On one hand, it was a really good design, but then she had these massive boobs...while on the other hand, "hurr hurr massive boobs". They toned her down IMMEDIATELY after SA2, where she was a veritable short stack, and by '06 she had her more lanky design. Being my third favorite character in the series, after Sonic & Knuckles, I really felt her absence for a good while. Like, she'd only appear as a tag along to Shadow, and you can't just...put him into a game casually, due to all the baggage he brings. Not gonna lie, it still feels a bit weird seeing her just hang out with Sonic. The Netflix Prime cartoon gave a bit to work with, but then she was instantly replaced with variants. Even though, they prove that she can have new personality traits outside of the skank Sonic X turned her into. *OBNOXIOUS SAXOPHONE INTENSIFIES* Still, not a fan of the voice she's had since Forces & TSR. Like many others, it sounds like an imitation of an imitation.

Ehhh it looks like the same model to me. Rouge has always been a bizarre anomaly when it comes to Sonic character design. I don't know who in the early 2000s was asking for a sexy Sonic character but with all things Sonic I respect the tenacity. I get why they covered her up a little more with Sonic Prime. It's more mainstream and clearly pitched a little younger. As for Mario and Sonic at the 2020 Olympic games...woof.

They didn’t do this. Apple commissioned another game from sega as an exclusive to help sell their arcade service. Which as far as services, is pretty great. $20 a month bundles it with TV, music, and 50Gigs of cloud space which isn’t a ton, but also pretty helpful if you’re an Apple user with say both a phone and iPad.

Please noone should support SEGA in what they're doing here! They're getting reaally bad ideas here with the apple arcade thing. We should make clear to them that this doesnt work and that the exclusivity to apple arcade is the problem. Sonic fans deserve better treatment! Cream and Rouge fans deserve better treatment!
