For a bit of lore, Thomas Miller (Tom) is the one who was playing the game in the 2017 version creepypasta. This goes as follows: His friend Kyle sent him the game in the hopes that Tom would destroy it because the entity (Sonic.exe) was preventing him from doing so. If Tom had destroyed it like he was begged to without playing the game, he may have been able to save his friend and all the characters within it. However, he thought it was a prank so he played it, thus giving the entity power, and dooming them all. This is why the characters in the game this video shows are upset as to why Tom is playing it.

The wiki page is bare, for the sole reason that shortly after the 2017 version came out, there was a major controversy about the person who wrote it, and then after that a bunch of people associated with fan creations for the creepypasta also wound up with the same controversy. take for example the creator of the sonic.exe FNF mod.

(Long comment warning) I don’t like gate keeping but I feel like if someone is going to play something like sonic or dragon ball or anything that has a massive fan base that’s multiple decades old they should probably learn a decent amount about the characters/franchise before they record themselves playing it. For example I saw a reaction video to the 2nd sonic movie a while ago and both the man and woman watching it knew pretty much nothing about the franchise or the characters and it was almost too unbearable to watch because of all the mistakes they were making one of them even thought that tails was a girl even though they make it pretty obvious that tails is a guy. But obviously people have to start their knowledge about things somewhere.

@@Destroyers007 (long comment warning) thats understandable but the problem is their are certain groups within fan bases that are just the worst people in existence sometimes and as an example of how seriously people take things I left a comment on a saitama(one punch man)vs sonic video and all I said was that saitama is basically unbeatable in a physical altercation and it turned into a 300/400 reply comment war and even though I would’ve of loved to side with sonic in that argument the problem was/is that saitama’s entire existence is basically a parody/joke about power scaling so he literally cannot lose unless he lets the other person win no matter how OP his opponent is. I even got accused of being a fake sonic fan and a one punch man fanboy simp simply because I wouldn’t agree with the people that weren’t even bringing up good arguments other than nuh uh sonic would win.

A Personal favorite Sonic.Exe game of mine is "Sonic.Exe Spirits of Hell," and the game does have a good ending where Tails, Knuckles and Eggman survive! Aldo IIRC it's voice acted. Definitely recommend it to play on the channel!

They actually did it! They figured out how to make a horror game as less scary as possible. This iteration of the game is almost just the same as any other rated M game requiring skill. Mario.exe with the FNF mod was amazing and all, but the beginning monologue almost ruins it. One of the things that makes a horror scary is the lack of context and the implication of danger. This SONIC.EXE remake managed to add so much bureaucracy i mean "bloat data" that it's almost unrecognizable from it's original form with similarities only in name and art. The original did what it needed to do. it was simple. You play as Tails, your asked "Want to play hide and seek?" Then your told to "run." Soon after, EXE comes at you and upon making contact you know what happened without needing to see Tails getting ripped apart. Simple, does what it needs to do. Then you play as Knuckles, you do some light platforming and then you fight EXE, and lose. Need i explain the Eggman segment? Then your greeted with EXE gloating "I AM GOD!" There is no "banter," there is no taunting, there is no mocking, there is no "Let me explain how i won," Sonic.exe just plays with you, and wins. And it was scary. Thank you for reading all this.

If you want Completed ones: - Sonic Exe One More Round, Good art and animations, simple gameplay and fun to complete.(Some secrets are in every stage, like other paths and stuff) - Sonic TSoH (The Spirits of Hell) series are good but hard to play sometimes, it has multiple endings. (The second game has a lot of endings) - Sonic Fear, I think there are like 3 games of this series, they are old so expect flashy jumpscares and high difficulty. If you dont mind incompleted demos you have: - MARIO '85, Its a 1 level famous EXE game, it appears in FnF (Friday Night Funkin') Mario Madness [I know its not a Sonic one, just here to say that good Mario.exe ones appear in the FnF Mod] - [CHILDHOOD] (Its a Sonic EXE), Childhood.cue does new things and is smooth as hell in animations, its a good demo. (And has a couple of secrets) I hope you like them, enjoy
