I struggled but found a surefire way finally - easy to start behind, got his back 2x then just stayed on the left for all the flying jumps until he came down then went to the right, got his head 1x and went to the far left to avoid the arms, repeating the flying part until win.

Fun Fact: You can attack full on the back 7 times before he goes up. You can attack in his back to avoid the claw attack but a different attack will show

Yeah attacking 7 times is way too difficult for even me personally. It's possible, but extremely risky. 6 times is easier! I went with 5 just so the guide was much easier to follow

The only reason I give up so quickly on this fight is because you always have to fight mecha sonic before you get a chance to try and fight eggman again. It makes my brain numb repeating the same thing over and over

I've first struggled with this boss when I first played Sonic 2 on my old iPod touch. I was able to beat it years before this video came out. So I think I have the experience. Unless I'm Knuckles.

As someone who has the 5th best time on xbox (1:00.98) you can really get risky with your hits. What do I mean? I dont position myself behind him, rather, I go for hits in the front as there are a few frames before he moves that your capable of doing that, another example of getting risky is when he attacks, I probably just got rng luck and was able to hit him 3 more times to take him down, but amazing guide nonetheless!

Also, if you spindash even once in the hall and keep jumping, that keeps your momentum and gives you a massive speed boost.

On the dash part of silver sonic you can basically spindash through him while he is dashing

The fire thing is really hard for me I guess, but you could just go to the edge of the screen then land a hit. It may take a bit of time but it's more easier.
