I don't care what you say, this is one of the most unfair fights in the series, for the sole purpose of A) On a first time playthrough, NO ONE is going to know all the intricacies and techniques and gimmicks needed to beat this thing B) Random attacks that no one will see coming on a first playthrough C) A second phase where, if you die, you go back to Phase One, with NO checkpoint in between. Seriously, who thought this fight was a good idea on the dev team?

maybe its just me but it took 3 tries to beat this boss for me completely blind and the first 2 deaths were in the first half of the fight. None of those deaths came to me not seeing what was coming next it was all just me dying to random things that I actually knew how to combat. I definitely agree that its a difficult boss fight but there's no way its unfair, for example when he destroys the platform and you have to run so you dont fall it makes the platform that is about to fall appear red and gives you a second to see that and run away, and in the second half you just gotta keep running forward which should be your first idea anyway and dodge the very obvious attacks that take a little while to charge up. I do think its a nice change of pace from past sonic games being really easy though and I'm happy the devs decided to up the difficulty for this one and frontiers final horizon update.

I don’t hate this boss because it’s hard, I hate it because it’s boring and tedious. Lets compare this to the death egg robot in sonic and knuckles. In the first phase the robot is in the background. In S&K you could quickly take out the fingers quickly which feels extremely rewarding and satisfying while in this game you are waiting for what feels like an eternity just to get an hit opportunity. In the second phase you are being chased by the robot with the floor collapsing leading to a bottomless pit. They both also have a laser attack that will quickly blast at you. S&K had a risk and reward feel to it where you could get constant hits on him with the risk of the weak point closing up and fire shooting out of the nose. The laser attack in S&K was a one done move that made you react quickly. While in super stars the laser attack drags on and once you dodge it once you are already ready for the next one so it just gets boring. The waiting also gets far to tedious in the second phase with it dragging on for minutes. Both fights are difficult but one is an actually fun and rewarding fight while another is a tedious waiting show.

Just like in this video, I had to resort to using the blue emerald power in the very last fight sequence of this boss battle to beat robotnik. I found using Amy for the last boss battle also helped with the double jump button, otherwise I could not beat him! This final boss is ridiculously hard.

I think the biggest problem with this fight is how necessary the emerald powers feel to cheese the end of the second phase. If you DON'T do that, you have to deal with the spinning arms, which can and will insta-kill you if you get caught up by a platform you can’t see coming ahead of you. And then it's back to the very beginning of a 7+ minute long, two phase fight where you have to wait for the slow attacks for the chance to hit back once.

I just got the game finally a week ago and I thought I was gonna have a good time, nah. Some of the levels are straight up garbage and the boss fights are slow, long, and tedious not to mention bullshit. I'm stuck on this final boss because it's too damn long and just hard. To make it even worse, you don't even get rings to help you out! You're stuck with whatever rings you get in the beginning.

Tips to defeat the boss In phase 1 just spam dropdash and spindash to get behind him In phase 2 i use the bullets power to get 2 free hit I use avatar when he does the laser thingy to get 2 more hit And you can use time slower to hit him on the anti gravity part

This boss would be so annoying to fight if you didnt have to wait around 30 seconds for him to do somethings, also the missiles are so frustrating, i hate how the blue ones always show up off screen thats so lame and is just annoying. The second phase is cool on paper but ive died to the spin move way too many time because there isnt much start up to the attack I really wamted tk like this game and i think it has some really cool moments but the end half of the game is genuinely awful to play and isnt fun at all, Golden Capital act 2 is just so annoying

I fucking hate this sorry excuse of a final boss. Its unfair and annoying for so many reasons: 1. Nobody will see any of the attacks coming 2. No checkpoints in between phases. 3. Super fucking slow And many more. I think this game is amazing and i love the bosses but fuck this fight. It took my half an hour to beat.
