Sonic The Hedgehog 2 Was the First Video Game I Ever Played

What is a video game?
Sonic 2 was the first game I was ever exposed to, and to say that it has shaped the way in which I look at games today would be understatement. Everybody knows what a classic it is, but not many can share the unique perspective that I have for it due to it being my first experience with games.
The bigger question born from this is simple: what is a video game? I imagine whatever answer you give will be tied to whatever the first title you picked up was.

Hey same lol. My parents gave me this game and Mrs Pac man when i was 6. I was obsessed with Sonic when I was a kid. Went as him for Halloween for a few years. Watched that cheesy cartoon.
