I’ve messed with some 06 modding before, in particular the Emerald Coast mod which I really quite like (along side the usual codes and whatnot that improve the controls), but it doesn’t run particularly great on my PC. I just ordered a new PC last week so once that comes in I’ll finally be able to play through this mod that I’ve been following for YEARS! I’m so excited!

When I launch the game, the mod unchecks and loads Xenia, then when the game starts the mod just don't work (it's '06 normal, unfortunately)

Wait.. They must have updated Xenia since this video, because I was able to play my 06 vanilla ISO without any issues. That's kinda cool. Thanks for the tutorial, cause I was stuck on which program to use to extract the ISO for the mod.

My friend told me: go into config file for Xenia and change “protect_zero” to false to fix that issue

I'm having problems with mine. I have Legacy of Solaris showing up on the mods page in the mod loader but when i try and check it and save, it unchecks so I can't install it to the game.

Sonic is like Super Zoomed in the camera in all parts of the game when I run the Mod and Patches in Xenia do you know why this is? Or what causes this issue?

In the extra levels, in the new sections of the level, the textures do not load, everything is invisible. Any ideas to fix this?

I installed everything correctly but the camera is extremely close to the characters during gameplay. i tried changing the camera settings but nothing changes! is there a way to fix this? playing on OG hardware.

My XISO Extractor doesn't open. Windows won't let me so I can't extract the game. Any workaround that exists for this?

@@StelmoShow I did. I dragged the Sonic 06 disc file onto the extractor, but then there’s a pop up saying that Windows won’t let me use the XISO because it’s an unknown app or something. It doesn’t let me extract the game. Just to clarify, I’m on windows 11 if that helps

Are you ever going to do in-depth speedrun tutorials for P-06? I'm mainly asking because I'm trying to do the Wave Ocean speedrun but I keep dying on that bit with going past the rocks after launching off the second ramp.

I wish all three hedgehogs had mach speed sections like silver in dusty desert chasing after sonic to catch up to him for example silver had that cutscene in the beginning of him zooming through the sky so i dont understand why no one's thought about it and not gonna lie shadow can 100% have a mach speed section cus most of the hedgehogs are chasing stuff most of the time in this game it just sucks that only sonic is going at mach speed also it would've been a great multiplayer mode like racing almost

4:44 this isn't working for me. i drag the disc image file to that same "extract-xiso.exe" program and that window that pops up afterwards only shows up for a split second and immediately crashes. i tried repairing the "terminal" app which is what's used when i open the "extract-xiso.exe" program, but that didn't work and neither did restarting my computer. it's so frustrating being on step 99/100 with seemingly no way to resolve the issue.

Try changing the file name for the game to a shorter name sometimes its too long and wont launch I changed mine to just sonic 06 and it worked

you would need a usb drive and can't use the mod manager. I've never done it myself so I'm not entirely sure. I just know that it's possible
