Paramount Pictures showed the first official trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie at CinemaCon. It also became known that Jim Carrey will return to the role of Eggman, Idris Elba will be Knuckles, and Keanu Reeves will voice the role of Shadow.

I mean, to be fair; Shadow’s story is pretty heart wrenching and sad. He was originally a very kind person. The only family he had was the Doctor and Maria. Imagine losing the only family that “birthed” you out of nothing, then they all die, and then you’re sealed away as a failed experiment. Your dreams and thoughts are basically full of hatred, and once awakened, someone resembling your creator tells you that revenge is what you need. It’s pretty messed up, but his story is one of the greatest but painful to see unfold.

From all that has been revealed about it so-far it looks the Sonic 3 movie could likely become the highest grossing new release movie of the year in ticket sales and win the award of best videogame adaption movie. I love the Sonic franchise and I very much hope that this movie installment truly manages to achive those goals when it gets released theatrically.

epically traumatic for shadow since he probably only experienced like two to four years of life by the time of the incident. the 50 years of stasis don't count to me. Why I say experienced not age is because a lot of experiments like the one that created shadow accelerate the growth cycles. meaning he becomes a teen in the space of two years even though he hasn't personally developed to that point. Oh sure he can talk and move, but he doesn't have the life experience to match.
