Man, I wish IDW had the rights to reprint the old Archie comics. That was the Sonic I grew up with, and it’s terrible that they’re lost to time. My daughter would love those stories.

As someone new to the series I agree, I want to read Archie before I go into IDW. Luckily I found them on "GetComics" though

Yes! All these different comics and cartoons need to be brought back in the multiverse

I adore this book! The name is brilliant too, give something a “good bad name” and I’m all over it.

Less of an art book, more of a… encyclo-speed-ia! Can’t believe you did say that!

The book says what it is Omar... it's an Encyclo-speed-ia, of course it's not an artbook, otherwise it would have said: sonic the hedgehog artbook.. gotta hit my speed, keed

Book looks nice. I think fans of the Sonic games will really enjoy it. Personally, I was always more a fan of the sidescroller Sonic games than anything. I never had a Dreamcast, but picked up Adventures 1 and 2 on the Gamecube back in 2003 after I got the system. Couldn't get into them that much, though and ended up selling them a few months later. Pretty sure I picked up one or/and the other on PSN/XBL years later, though. I did also pick up Sonic Heroes on the Gamecube as well, which I don't hear people talk about as much. I seem to remember enjoying that one more as it was more straightforward than the others. Just think... the significance of seeing Sonic on the Gameboy Advance and Gamecube for the first time will forever be lost on a generation who were not around for 90s.

Thanks for this Omar. I own the 20th anniversary book, but will have to pick this up too. I remember renting a Master System II in the late 80's, and was completely in love with it. When I got a Mega Drive for Christmas with the original Sonic...my head imploded. Nothing would ever be the same again... I played the first 4 games to death 🤣

Do you mean the mobius timeline? It's an archie sonic related encyclopedia but it doesn't explore the full history of sonic the franchise Or are you referring to another 20th anniversary book?
@Nightscrawler Жыл бұрын
@@saeedalajatiNo, it's the one published by Udon I think. It's over 300 pages, and covers the full entire history of Sonic.

(Jay RoC) i remember blockbuster use to rent out video game consoles for like a week & you just had to leave a $100 deposit that you would get back after you returned the console just incase anything happened to the system

Look at the wiki page for this book on Sonic News Network, it's completely full of the mistakes this book made.

I have mixed feelings about this book. I am a big sonic fan and i definitely like the nostalgic factor, but this feels also somewhat cheap. More like a printed version of a sonic fan wiki. In hindsight I probably should have bought the IDW HC collection instead.
