I think there is a boss battle. I think this one is being tougher than the previous boss battles in the past. That is what I have to see, that this character is shown to become villainous, but this proves that this one is being shown as one of the most competitive boss-fights I have ever seen in Sonic the Hedgehog history. This is a tough ride!

When you really stop to think about SA2's plot it really is weird, huh? A scientist wants to help his ailing granddaughter, so he makes a gigantic lizard that can stop time, then makes a deal with an alien to make a hedgehog shaped version of itself...and none of this actually helped Maria at all. I wonder if this was just the result of working backwards; maybe they made a cool lizard boss and had to find a way to work it into the story later. MOVIE SPOILERS Yeah, no Biolizard. It honestly strikes me as a Watchmen kraken situation. It's a little too hard to set up and make believable as a final threat to stop, I find. Sonic and Shadow having to team up to stop Gerald and the Eclipse Cannon itself works for the climax way more than having to explain why this giant lizard exists. With how fast and loose these movies play with canon I wasn't really surprised they'd cut that.

I see. They only have so much time to tell a story; having Gerald handle the whole scheme by himself would definitely streamline the story. That, and Jim Carrey wanted to retire, so might as well get the most out of him before that happens!

Totally agree with your take. I grew up with SA2 but the story is all over the place. The ultimate life form being a giant lizard and then becoming a hedgehog to somehow cure some cancer-like illness makes no sense. It would make sense if shadow and biolizard’s special ability was a healing factor which made them good test subjects, but that’s not their main power at all.

That was a great monologue from a time when video game voice acting was not that great. (Even if this particular group has improved tremendously since, like in the Professor Layton games.)

And you know what's also odd? When your playing Sonic Generations, Sonic's quills are long (His Design) as you seen in Unleashed and Colors, But when you play Shadow Generations and when you meet Sonic, His quills are short (His design) as you seen in Sonic Lost World, Forces and Frontiers which I hated his Forces/Frontiers Design which it seems they try to make modern look like his classic look, But it didn't work. I hope SEGA/Sonic Team has plans to bring back Sonic's Design as you seen in Unleashed/Colors/Sonic Generations as well as the Marza trailers in future Sonic games. :)

In Sonic Generations 3DS, oddly that Sonic is the one who can beat Biolizard instead of Shadow and Sonic races in Radical Highway instead of Shadow since Shadow is the one to beat Biolizard and go through Radical Highway in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. :)

I remember that. I never played the 3DS version, though I did wonder if this boss battle took from it. (Looking it up, it didn’t.)

@@Overhazard And what's odd that we play through Chaos Island in Shadow Generations....As Shadow since he wasn't in Sonic Frontiers which Sonic is the one to explore Chaos Island. :)

It is an…interesting addition to the Biolizard’s design, I’ll say that. Of course, as it was originally a salamander, it might fit.
