I was thinking the exact same thing because we know Generations has Crisis City as a zone, so it would be great for Mephiles to have a return. It would also be funny if Shadow doesn’t remember him either so Mephiles could be like, “What, did you forget me?” As a callback when they “first met” in ‘06 because technically Shadow wouldn’t remember him as the events of ‘06 erased itself.

Something I saw someone else point out, in the area that's supposed to be Westopolis (from Shadow's solo game), there was actually level geometry being pulled from Radical Highway from SA2. In the original, Tails did say that the Eggmen using the Time Eater was damaging the world, so we may see that come into play.

Yeah, I tend not to believe leaks until I see proof. So my guess is that Zippo probably got wrong info on which game was which. Yet, I think either the Sonic Fall guys esque game is coming in the spring or it's the Netflix exclusive Chao Garden game.

I’d have to imagine that the Shadow campaign will take place during the main campaigns of Generations, and will somehow tie into the ending of Generations where Shadow shows up with the others.

Think about this since shadow hasnt been in many games in the past 06 SA2 Forces Battle Heroes They might just add some more levels from the same game like imagine having a re-made wave ocean or sky rail itd make sense

I'm not sure if I currently feel comfortable with Sonic, short games usually and kind of hit and miss in some chases. However the effects in the Shadow scenes looked good. I hope it makes sense and it's not just a BAAAMM, Shadow ACARDE MODER now say thank you.

You know what's really funny? I was saying, like, two weeks ago, on another video retrospective...ing Generations that I wished the devs had made a DLC stage out of the Final Rush theme 'cause all the art assets were already in the game for the Shadow boss. ...well guess what that first bit of new gameplay from last night looks like XD

since both Shadow and Sonic will be playable in this game... a. a lot of shadow's gameplay in his own game has a lot of ranged combat outside of just homing attacks... b. We just fought a moon in frontiers... c. Shadow's first gameplay shows Final Rush as a level d. BioLizard gameplay here looks like it has more depth than just "run away/towards boss" mechanic we got tired of over the years... and it looks like biolizard will do more than just spin around a platform... what am I saying? would it be nice of one of the big boss battles involves FinalHazard tag teaming both sonic and shadow WITH COMBAT? I mean.... Gameplay wise, Frontiers set a higher bar for sonic, that just running through a level, and some final battles in the past now looks lame. I'm not expecting the entire game to be a beat-em up/combat gameplay, but I'm expecting some amount of it.
