Most people I knew, including my family didn't even have cable in 88. In the U.S. and had no idea there was a MTV in Europe. Also, DID have a friend whos band was called Green Street. Still have a few old coppies of Forced Exposure. Plenty of Tesco Vee!! And Albini. And of course Lydia.

Neil Murphy well this is MTVEurope, which had a LOT better taste than american MTV. While US was showing hair metal, nu metal and pop punk, Europe was showing post-punk/new wave, alt rock, britpop, electronic and 2000s garage revival.

Fact is this kind of interviews was becoming scarce seldom then...being replaced by Madonna, George, Michael and the the new wave of poppy sugar that's still standing today.
