Found an old diary from the 1990s yesterday and I sound like a stranger, reading my own words from 25 years ago. Found the entry where I say I've just bought this CD! Like a golden thread from now to my former self ... head spin and beautiful memories.

what is with synchronicity? For... whatever reason... I feel asleep reading about Mulholland drive on IMDB because I had watched a george romero 1973 movie on Tubi and the next up was "Tank Girl", co-staring the co-star of Mul. drive, and I was like, where do I know THAT name from, Naomi... FF to today, for the last few days I've been on a Deftones kick, finding all sorts of rare gems. I find the song "Smile" off the never-released album "Eros" on some rando channel on YT, it also has a Mike Patton song called "Day in the Life of a SchoolGirl" which reminded me of this song, so here I am reading the comments and here I go, full circle back to Mul Drive. Hmmm, guess it's gonna be THAT movie tonight. Why fight it? Oh and DO read everything you can on IMDB about MUl. Drive, it's VERY fascinating! Talk about synchronicity and serendipity!

Me too. I gave my mum a lot of trouble but that line was my motto. I was 13-14 when this album came out and I bought it, a special edition, I love Kim Deal, but it was at 17, when I "meet a guy, no alabi", that things started to get troublesome, my elder brother had freedom but I was the "little trouble girl". I survived DV at a young age and other nasty issues like most young women and I still have a very close relationship with my mother, being her now an elderly lady. I will never regret being honest, but some hurtful things, I told her years later, when I was already over that. I love my mum so much.
