John, did you have a chance to review the newer modeller multi effects pedals like Hotone Ampero, Nux MG 200, Harley Benton DNA fX, Headrush MX5 etc?

I've got both this one and the acoustic version, fantastic pedals.

There are 3 Flavours of that Pedal - The Twiggy Blues - The Rockstage - The Metal Hammer, I like the Rocktage as I think it gets into realms of the other 2 so it covers most bases - I have just bought a POD GO but I won't be using it for my next gig, it will be the Rockstage and it's almost 1/10th of the price...

For the sake of commenters, worth noting there's also a Bass and an Acoustic version of these.

@@jimmyjames2022 Indeed I almost bought the Acoustic version the other day but tbh the Acoustic don't sound too bad at all through the Rockstage (with the Overdrive off obviously)...

I’m not even a blues guy but I want one! I have the bass model and love it! The tones features and price see right on!

Hey John, thanks for sharing this fantastic video!

The question is, is it worth it compared to what my Boss ME-50 already gives me? The attraction is that it fits on a small pedalboard along with my TRIO+ & FSX3 switch. Ah! Scrub that, I just saw that John Channing has pointed out that it's currently a steal on Amazon. BOUGHT!

A conundrum, Rockstage vs Twiggy Blues, both sound great. The compressor may give the edge to Twiggy, though she's skinny enough without being compressed any more.

I really like your videos.

Amazon UK have this for £42.83 at the moment, a bargain for this great sounding unit :)

I’m putting together a budget pedalboard consisting of a Rockstage, Twiggy Blues (esp at that price) & a Demon TS soundalike. Everything else can go now!

Very useful video, John. I bought a Twiggy Blues after you reviewed the rock stage last year- I am even older than you and thought it would suit me better- and I have been quite pleased with it but having seen today’s video, I think I will like it even more. I have also got a Behringer overdrive pedal ; I didn’t realise you could link that to the Twiggy Blues so I will try that too. I have got a Peavey Bandit ( another John Robson recommendation!) Would you plug the Twiggy Blues into the front of it or into the effects loop?
@JRobsonGuitar3 жыл бұрын
Cheers mate. I'd probably run the pedal into the front of the amp. Run the amp on a flat neutral clean sound with the reverb off & that's probably going to give the best results.

Its not something that I would buy as I already have much better reverb and overdrive pedals and a compressor that I never use *BUT* at £42 (on Amazon right now) its a steal for anyone wanting blues tones.
