I actually dislike my expert clean so far , to the extent i’m not sure if it has a fault. I previously had the Sonicare 6100 but it broke so I didn’t want to just have the same old but didn’t want to pay over £100 with two whitening heads I’m not going to use a lot . However I’m experiencing the same problem I had with my Sonicare FlexCare model In that the pressure sensor on the expertclean seems non existent, whereas on my protective clean it was A very sharp and I felt very safe. Also the strength of vibration seems weak compared to my ProtectiveClean. However the deep clean on the expert clean feels very good. So I’m not sure whether I’m going to keep it. For me it will be clean and gum mode I chiefly use and I’m not sure on that yet. I was surprised that the expertclean had the FlexCare pressure alert flaw as it is a later model, I thought that it would be just like the ProtectiveClean. Thanks for your reviews that help me see if I’m going crazy and what to do.

Very useful review - need to replace my 2017 DiamondClean which recently died a death outside of warranty and I was going to replace like for like but I can't justify paying out again for something which offered just over 2 years worth of service.

@@ElectricTeeth the only one thing that I found is that due to the speed of the toothbrush you cant really open your mouth and look in the mirror. I tried that and you get toothpaste splats everywhere

Hey, on Amazon, MediaMarkt and on Phillips Website it says that the etui of the Expert Clean 7300 does not come with a charging function, where did you get the version with charging case?

I’ve a Sonicare Diamondclean since 2017 and today it stopped working.. it still charges and the leds turn on, but it won’t “vibrate” when I press the button. I need to buy a new Sonicare, but I think I won’t repurchase the Diamondclean and I’ll go for the Expertclean

@@annika_27 There's no much difference between the two, the Expertclean has less options but they are not essential. In general, Philips Sonicare is the best toothbrush I've ever had. So, if you're not using it yet, I highly suggest you to try!

@@iElepple thank you! I actually ordered the expertclean last night! I‘m curious about the longevity since a lot of the reviews said it broke within a year 😩 but I have problems with my gums and figured a sonic toothbrush will be better for that than a regular electric toothbrush. We will see!

@@annika_27 my Diamondclean lasted almost 4 years and I bought the Expertclean in June 2021. It’s still working. Keep it always clean and above all DRY. This will prevent limescale and toothpaste residues from going inside the toothbrush and block the buttons. You won’t regret the purchase and not only you will notice the difference, but your dentist as well. 😉

I've just picked up the 7900 for £100 but I can't seem to find anything online about how it compares to the 7300... Where does it fit into the product line? Between the 7300 and 9000?

Sam. In short, technically there is no difference between them. They all clean the teeth as well as each other. The 7900 is part ExpertClean range. In comparison to the 7300... The 7900 has an extra cleaning mode. 2 additional brush heads (all of which are a different style to the 7300). And you get a countertop toothbrush holder/stand. Compared to the 9000, it is as per this video, plus the extras over and above the 7300.

Do they both work with the app?

Both work with the Sonicare app. Do be aware that neither have 'real-time' tracking of the exact position of the toothbrush in the mouth.

Detachable cable = replaceable cable. USB cables (even those just used for supplying power and not transferring any data) are very fiddly and easy to break.

Beware! I just bought the latest Sonicare Diamond Clean 9/2023 and am planning on taking it right back to the store. It came with 2 brushes. One sounded fine when I turned it on and the other sounded ready to break. Worse, there was no plastic cap for the charger. A cup fits over the charger and the toothbrush leans precariously inside...a terrible design!!!
