The thing about getting good at drawing is (like everything) it requires repetitive practice. Lots of artists have made hundreds of thousands of drawings that might look good but are simply just garbage practice work. Cus of him constantly being online I would t be surprised if we have seen almost everything he has ever drawn ever. Which might be a lot to go through but nowhere near an amount to have any kind of progress. Long story short if you like the process of drawing and can throw your ego to the side. This comment could really apply to any part of the comics, but it just now dawned on me how overly attached Chris is to the idea that any of his heartsweets in the comic *must* be based on people he knows in the real world, trolls and otherwise. For how blatant these stories are as a demented form of escapism for Chris, there's no attempt to make, like, a fictional romantic interest that he will stick with for longer than a footnote when the assholes that keep screwing with him cause tremendous shifts in his story only for the end result to be the same. It really lends credence to how weirdly uncreative Chris is as a creator that he can't even make his surrogate Chris Chans happy with a partner.

The weird thing is you realize the comics where basically just Chris's way of venting and basically a dream journal, but Chris themselves NEVER realized that. Originally Sonichu was basically a self insert, and he ever got the girl, but Chris's ego and incompetence means that not even a deity tier Gary Stu self insert is enough, he personally HAS to be the center of the attention. When you realize that, the comics basically just become a graphic version of his manifesto.

The closest we get to a fictional sweetheart is Lovely Weather(meant to be his future wife) but even then she's more of a placeholder with one of the sweethearts that do work out becoming her. He even drew Lovely Weather based on one sweetheart(Jessica Quinn) with her fate left in the air due to Jessica breaking up with him. There's also Magichan, Silveona, Mewtwo & one character that I forgot but those were caused by the Idea Guys messing with Chris so it's questionable despite Chris still having Magichan as a husband. But yeah you got a point about everything going on, just some kind of escapism mixed with the real world that Chris has yet to accept he's doing

Just for context for my American contemporaries. Tesco is like the British Walmart and several years ago there was a scandal involving several supermarkets, including Tesco, that had sold meat contaminated with horse meat. So basically the supplier who was supplying beef or whatnot was getting it substituted with horse meat. So seeing Tesco cropping up with horse characters was a ploy by the Idea Guys and Chris of course knew nothing about it. Despite wanting to visit my home country I dread the day he comes here and hope he never does!

So this issue, if you ever feel modern Sonichu peters off from what is before, this is really the point before the idea guy issue So 2016-2017 was really back into his interest into My little pony that he was following the Planet Dolan group, made Night Star, another gary stu oc and wanted to add the Planet Dolan crew. He got blocked by them including Doopy Do over that much of 2017-2019 was Chris trying to get back following people via sock accounts basically stalking them and won't leave alone they don't want to deal with him or play pretend.
