I love Spinball but I think it's the hardest game in the series. I've played it well over 100 times and I've gotten to the Machine and that's all folks! Closest to "Nintendo Hard" that the series has gotten IMO

My very first sonic game ever. My mom suprised me with a sega genesis and it came with this game. I tell u one thing, i hated sonic spinball but damn it if i didnt play the fuck outta it til eventually i got sonic n knuckles months later lol(my second sonic game ever) good times... Good times...

there were a couple of sonic designs back then. there was the original japanese version, the american version and a bunch of sonic designs from sonic team.

Fair enough; I respect your point of view. We'll have to disagree to agree. Perhaps I am indeed wrong, but from what I remember playing Sonic 1, Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 & Knuckles on Mega Drive, compared to Fusion and Gens, Fusion sounded much closer to the Mega Drive than Gens. I always felt that the percussion was a bit TOO loud on Gens, and that the other melodies sounded a bit muffled by it. Maybe that's just me, though.

Um, actually it is. I'm not going to get into an argument with you. The visual and audio emulation is probably one of the closest you can get to real hardware. Obviously, it being an emulator, naturally you won't get that 'hissing' and 'distortion' you'd get from actual hardware, but the audio quality is really faithfully outputted. The audio quality is miles better than that of the Gens emulator. (At least, the older versions of Gens emulators.)

Not at all, it's a game wich doesn't last more than half an hour . The most important trick is to know how to slow down sonic to make accurate shots with the trigger, if you let him bounce like crazy you are done for. It takes a little to control it but once you got it it's a quite easy game.

I have to disagree. You can even test this fact by playing Master System and Game Gear games through Kega and you'll notice straight away that the percussion section of the PSG-SN76489 is extremely hard to hear while the square wave volume has been turned up a little, that's not emulated anywhere close to the original console. Gens ain't perfect either but it sounds much more accurate than Kega, at least with Gens you can hear PSG hi-hats with DAC drums in a much better balanced volume level.

This sounds like a raw recording taken from an actual SEGA Mega Drive console itself! Oh yeah! Just listen to that good old RF TV sound with hissing and distortion. For true nostalgia Sonic fans, you can't get the music more nostalgic than this. Congratulations sonicKAI for recording from real hardware and not bullshit emulators.

Um, it is not! Kega's PSG sound channels are not balanced properly in volume resulting in the square waves being too freaking loud and the noise channel being far too quiet.
