Sonic Heroes: Brutal Grand Metropolis Mod

A Sonic Heroes Stage mod and it's huge! This Grand Metropolis stage layout is just brutal. 28 minutes to clear, with an insane amount of enemies and obstacles to get past. This mod has some other layouts to choose from as well, but this was definitely the one with the biggest changes. I might cover the other ones in the future with other characters.

@3rd Way there's nothing wrong with a slower paced sonic game. Not every game has to be speed all the time. The issue with heroes outside of the bad controls and repeating levels is that it doesn't flow well. Having to fly and fight damage sponges really just breaks your flow which is what I hated.

It's just Japanese grunting. Dreamcast era Sonic game dubs have a thing about not translating the Japanese voice grunts, so you end up with stuff like Eggman saying "Yosh!," Sonic shouting "Teriaaah!" or, in this case, Knuckles saying "Shu, Ora, YAAH!"

Lmfao, almost 30 mins for this level. But I understand now why some sections were removed from the final one. Tbh I love it a lot. Stages that gives you challenge like this one is what we need in modern Sonic game nowadays. Creator of this mod needs to make brutal version of the Power Plant and connect it with this Grand Metropolis, we will got a stage for almost a hour :D

Those robots aren't so intimidating once you realize you can tap the attack button without a direction as Knuckles to do a continuous punching combo that shreds through anything not reinforced against Power types.

I usually let Sonic have all three power cores. Most enemies go down with few hits if not one.

Here's a tip: You can use Blue Tornado or a LV.3 Homing Attack to instantly un-cap the helmeted Egg Hammers.

I think just the level layout was the E3 version. Things like the objects, cannons, and robots were added in after. There's 4 options for this mod. One is called speed, and I'm guessing that's the closest to the normal e3 version.

You need to learn the team blast glitch. Press the attack button and the b button at the exact same time causing the game to flip out and boost your team blast gauge by like a good third.

Level 3 Speed Characters can Air Dash at poles to automatically cause a tornado and homing attack shield enemies to knock the shields away and flip the turtle/wizard enemies

At a level 3 speed, you can do a Homing Attack near the pole and that will cause you to grab it as well.

Oh yeah, they need to re-make and re-do Sonic R, but also add some new features and equipments. Sonic May be always fastest but other characters can equip to speed up, as good as Sonic. But don’t add any boost-up speed for the fast characters. If they want to balance everything. Psst psst.. that explains why Sonic Racers series, Sonic Air Surfers series - (Green Bird, Purple Bird, Gray Bird in it) - ... were made in the first place. It’s due to balances and reasons.

dont touch the control stick while punching as knuckles to do a series of jabs. this kills the giant hammer robots faster. it also stops him from sliding all around so it's easier to control. you can also make the final lv. 1-3 punch bounce on top of the robot.

Really looks like a good mod! Not sure if you know this, but when you level the speed characters to 3, you can homing attack poles to grab onto them, and you can also blow enemies into the air with a homing attack since your attacks now have a tornado effect. ^-^ This is one of my top favorite Sonic games! I really hope it comes to Steam.
