Man, I could watch an hour or two of this. As someone who can't afford to travel, I really do get a kick out of these walking tours.

Really good to see Amos Gaines is still making synths, that guy is a design genius with his Moog Sub37.

I still have my Sub37. Was surprised to learn, just now, that he isn't at Moog anymore hmmm.

Right!!! I'm more psyched to see him working with a new company than any of the NAMM news!

7:00 Suddenly I'm reminded of Martin Brundle walking around the Formula 1 paddock with his silly radio microphone aerial and meeting Ozzy Osbourne there.😂👍

Great to see Amos working on something new. He's like the American Tats. We're going to get a lot more cool stuff from him in the years to come, I'm sure.

Every time i see a Nick Batt NAMM video, I hear him in my mind saying, "Daaayyyve Smith ... another hit product," from the 2016 NAMM launch of the OB-6.😢😊😊😊 Dave was such a star at NAMM.❤ kzbin.info/www/bejne/r4bFZnmFac-Cb5I If I think a synth sounds good, I go back to this video to see how it stacks up to Dave jamming on the OB-6.

Medeli, yes, they made the keybed on my Kurzweil PC4 VAST synth, weighted 88. It is very good and controllable with fast reactions. Which is surprising because I gave my Medeli AKX10 away because it was unplayable with velocity. However when I MIDI cabled in to control the AKX10 from my Roland RD-2000 it was still uncontrollable, so the problem was with the engine or sampling, not the actual keybed. The AKx10 was certainly not the same keybed as the Kurzweil obviously.

If I remember the layout correctly, there’s the main hall you walked through, the lower level with a lot of foreign manufacturers, string and wind instruments and newer companies, then upstairs was some larger companies like Yamaha and Fender and posher piano companies in the larger meeting rooms and software companies in the smaller rooms…I think Roli was up there one year too. Then the old ice arena had a lot of amps and interface companies…aaaand, then there were some exhibitors in the hotel meeting rooms adjacent and sometimes even in the odd hotel room as well. Then you have the concert stage and food kiosks outside, but if you really want to eat you know to go to Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles (of Tarantino film fame) a few blocks down the street and finish off with Joe’s Italian Ice a little farther on. Joe’s Crab Shack (not related to the ice place) is pretty good too if you want crustaceans. For fast food along Harbor Bl, Raising Cane’s is pretty tasty. There’s a Morton’s and Ruth’s Chris steak places nearby too, but if you take a 20 minute cab ride to South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa you can get a ribeye steak for two for 1/3 the money that tastes just as good as either of those places. Other cab ride grub, for Mexican I recommend an Avila’s Ranchito, and there’s the 8 million pho restaurants in Westminster/Little Saigon.

Dang, the rumors were out about the Leviathan, guess it was just that.. a rumor 😕@@Wagoo
@WagooКүн бұрын
yep - it has been stated that Leviasynth is a name they registered just as they thought it was a cool name.. and just incase they wanted to use it.. and they actually registered some other names too.. I'm sure they will bring out something at some point.. but yeah name registrations aren't a good indicator in their case
