Sonicware are awesome. Bang for buck, I've gotten so much use out of the MegaSynthesis and have been messing with the Texture lab recently. If I didn't have a Syntakt already, I'd be all over this thing. They managed to squeeze in 128 steps per pattern, and that's the feature I miss the most on the Syntakt.

If you are a ALWAYS on grid musician i`ll agree. hope it´s diffrent on this one caus drums without microtimming suck

@knallbertkrach9263 I agree, I do wish everything wasn't quantized on the mega synthesis. That being said, this looks aesthetically like the lofi XT which has unquantized and percentage quantized recording, so you can go off grid on that device no problem. Here's a toast to hoping this one does the same 🍻 I'm sure Chris Lody will charm us all with the details in no time.

This is really impressive, and if anything like as good as ELZ_1Play, then will be worth the price. It's sequencer is about as comprehensive as it gets, with groove box style queuing patterns or parts within a pattern. In fact, everything you need to avoid that repetitive kind of music that's all too easy to get stuck with.

I just got the SonicWare Bass & Beats for a 9yr old kid in our family who’s 84yr old great grandma had asked my gf to ask me to help him find a “keyboard” for around $50. I wanted to KEEP IT SIMPLE maybe a bit easier than this device but the sound and the all in one nature of this product. I was quite impressed!!!!! I am still impressed. I am definitely sold on the company. They seem to be having a high standard. One complaint, the damn abbreviations on the display = STUPID!!!! Why? This is fine if you are an English speaking adult musician but for a CHILD learning English, it =🤯 so now I have to sit and make a cheat sheet for the poor kid to help make this make sense. It would be ok if the display scrolled. This thing would be so much more awesome with a nicer display rather than the one upcycled from a 1970s alarm clock. 😭🙃

Oooo I was eyeing the LXR-2 but this looks a bit more robust.

I think you will be wise to avoid the menu diving products unless you are absolutely certain you are the type who is ok with it. The difference in products is giant! Sonicware is real masters at keeping the options all right there in the visible knob per function or knob with two or three functions… at least this was true in the Bass and Beats.

@_c_y_p_3 thanks for your info! I'm into menu diving if the menu makes sense. I am diving deep into elektron gear, but it makes sense to me and I'm loving it. At the same time, I returned all the Roland aira compacts (except for the E-4) because of how horrible the menus are. I've been intrigued by the sonicware stuff for a while, maybe this will be a good first one.

Their products sound impressive.m Im still in shock cuz I expected the sound would be shit but the Bass and EVEN the drum kits sounded really good! Im gonna borrow the one I bought for a gift and record a few of the sounds and I never even listened to all of em.
