Your calf story reminded me going out to my Uncle George's farm when I was about 11 years old. My cousin and I were in the box of an old Ford truck, sitting with the recently born calf in the middle of a pasture. We were not moving yet. The mother cow put her head down and rammed the back passenger side fender. The truck jumped sideways over a foot or so. My uncle, sitting in the truck, saw the size of our eyes and he broke up laughing. We had a new respect for a cow and her calf. . . . lesson learned.

I think we can ALL empathize with the calf story. Many times, I've heard Dad say, " Chase after him. I'll meet you with the truck up at the crossroads if you get that far!" I've discovered that those words also mean, " If you survive the 2 mile dash, you can ride home with me. If not, I'll call the coroner to pick up your body ".

I loved the Calf Chasing Olympics, “catch and release” story. Brian had the right idea. Turn the calf loose so he can run another couple miles. I’m glad you didn’t injure your knee again, Cole.

Like your new tree terminator. That tree row looked so nice when you were done. Tell Brian I think it's a must have. I think Brian can't wait to try it out but you monopolized it all day, so he was a little grumpy. Let your Dad have some fun, too. Hope you get some rain soon. It looks dry there. Thank you for clean, fun entertainment. You are definitely better than TV. God bless. Stay safe and never lose your sense of humor and ability to let people you don't even know joke with you.

My heart goes out to you chasing the cat for a half a mile. We had a Jersey Cow, that every time it came for Her to give Birth, She decided our farm wasn’t good enough for her babies. She would break through the fence, stomp it down, cross a major highway & Break our neighbors’ fence And get his cows all upset and go pick the most difficult place to get into and drop her calf also in a difficult place to get to, every single time. My Dad would be in the middle of something important & Here would come Our nice neighbor to Let Dad know Do you need it to bring Fencing equipment enough to fix two fences, And let Daddy know that our “Bubbles" & Her calf we’re over at His Farm, & Approximately where in the pasture. The amazing thing about all of this is that that highway what is major in that Semis used it To haul between Des Moines Iowa in the Quad cities & Kansas City, As well as Minnesota and Omaha back in the 60s & 70s & still do but it’s a different interchange). How the cow NEVER WAS HIT WAS A MYSTERY TO US…Because she was a big cow when she was pregnant, And not known for moving too fast!! The third time she did it, no matter how wonderful her milk was or her calves were, she had to go and it’s one of the three times I ever saw my mother cry. My Dad told her time with money and he didn’t have time to mess with an ornery Cow… So I can relate to your story and I feel bad for you because my dad certainly didn’t have to go half a mile to get a calf. And they can’t like the dickens to I imagine you’re pretty sore for days afterwards. People don’t realize how sharp those little baby hooves are!!! I really enjoyed watching you operate that cutter attached to your skid loader!! Unbelievable the cost of that Hydraulic fluid. My brother is in the tree trimming business and I live 2 1/2 hours away from him and one year after a storm I asked him if I could hire him to come up and trim my trees and he said no way… Not unless you get 8 to 10 other people to hire me as well because he said the cost of gas and fluids to run his equipment hast to make it worth his time. I never thought about all the oil and hydraulic lift for his bucket loader etc., But as soon as you called is that price I remember that conversation with him. I know he would’ve given me a discount but even still I would want to be fair. People work hard and it’s expensive the older equipment, very VERY. I went with him to an auction and was shocked. And eventually you have to re-replace equipment as well because it breaks down like you should. Those tires for example people would die if they knew the cost of big rig equipment tires compared to a car tire. I really appreciated Matt coming out and talking about how well-built her equipment is, & also, did they sell that bullet proof window for your safety. I did not even know that. My dad ran a skid loader for years without even a window but he wasn’t knocking down trees… He was doing concrete and moving dirt that kind of thing. He wore safety glasses though if he was moving dirt orb dead branches on our farm etc. Love you guises videos & I love the conversation between you and your dad. I love his songs and I love the stories. It makes my heart think of other stories about my grandparents and my dad telling stories when you and your dad get to talking and you make me chuckle on some of your stories as well. You guys have excellent videos and I thank you!! I wish you took a little more time to show us close-ups of the baby calves would be my only request because I am a cow lover which equals baby calf lover ♥️♥️♥️♥️

Great video as always. Most interesting and certainly enjoyable. Wow. Your tree destroying machine is great. It flat took those trees down and ground them up into nothing. That tool is worth the price to have. Great it is USA made and from Sioux Falls. That is great. Never seen one like that. Cole, you were flat tearing up some trees and brush with that tool. The area looked great when you got done. Chasing that calf is a good story. Not easy to catch that is for sure. Glad you finally got it. Glad you looked for holes so as not to hurt your knee again. Catching a young calf is hard work. Glad you finally got it cornered. Your numbers on the calf board are looking good. Believe the total was 90, darn good production that reflects your hard work. Congratulations on a great calf season so far. Tires on a farm always need fixing. Seems one is always needing attention. Go figure. Glad you have storla station to fix the tire. All for now. See, I was half way quiet today. You all take care and be safe. Looking forward to the next video. Thanks for everything and filming and editing and taking us along. See ya next time. Great Unit Diamond makes excellent units. I previously owned a bradco GroundShark But they are not as great as this unit! The carbide teeth on the Diamond unit are Fantastic! Expensive when time for changing but Fantastic ! Word of advice watch for barb wire !!!! If that gets sucked in a lot of bad can happen like swinging bar wire that can slap against the skid steer or wrap around the unit so fast it can rip up the seals under disk! Love the Diamond brand and would recommend them anytime !!

Hey there Brian and Cole, I hope you're all well and good! It didn't look like you got any rain on your nitrogen, that's too bad. Cole, your new rotary cutter would look much better, and probably even run better, if it was mounted on a new yellow and black John Deere 333G Skid Steer Loader on tracks, and with 100HP, those trees would really explode then, plus you wouldn't have to run that Bobcat hyd oil, you could use the HyGard that you use in your other Deere's. So the heifers are pulling ahead of the bulls again, maybe the cows will come through for you when they start calving. Did you every bring that rabid Raccoon to justice? I hope y'all have a good one! "Nothing Runs Like A Deere" 🦌👍🇺🇸
