What is great about YT is that you can see so many videos of the past. I agree. I've seen several interviews Sonny did over the years & you can tell he really liked people. He is always polite & appreciative of the one interviewing him & shaking hands & saying he enjoyed the conversation. We have 87 DVDs of the entire shows of both The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour & Sonny & Cher Show & when he jumps off the stage during their banter, he will walk around the audience talking to people before jumping back on stage. Hard to believe he would be 84 years old today if still here.

Halfway through the final rendition of I Got You, Cher's eyes are suddenly swimming in tears and she looks like she is hurting inside horribly. Sonny reaches out to her and, as it always did, Sonny's comforting, loving and protective aura lifts Cher up so she can finish the song. The extremely complex interplay of emotion and romance and creativity that bound these two people together did not end until Sonny's death. I hope we can all send supportive thoughts towards Cher as she continues her journey through life without the unceasing feeling of Sonny's love and support for her.

His voice never changed. Frankly there wasn't much to it in the first place, and he never got more power or range. He just got better at using 'the tricks of the trade' to interpret and sell his part in any of these duets. On the other hand, Cher showed incredible vocal growth from just a passible singer to an astonishing one. She turned into a diva powerhouse that could sing almost anything.

When you watch them, even after the divorce, they make people happy. Ww smile. We have a lump in our throats cause somehow we invested in their love for each other. We first loved them because they loved each other. They touched us with their love. In that last time they performed together, everyone talks of Sonny's getting emotional, but for me it is the nuisance of Cher voice that tells me that for Cher it was an extremely moving and profound moment for her. Her voice literally shakes at times as she's singing.
