I'm not knocking it, a tremendous achievement, but these sort of collaborations always sound a little uncomfortable and I wonder if it's in the different ways classical and blues/rock musicians percieve rhythm and, indeed, pitch. I'd love to hear him play with a Bollywood orchestra.

he could do it without a slide, it sounds like a miked cello/viola with a touch of tube screamer.

I like Sonny very much but here he lacks precision. Classical music is very technically demanding due to its rhythmic variations and melodic abundance. Bach is the elegance and specificity of the style which, in my opinion, Sonny can't handle. Better let the blues play.
