Context: Some artists upload music they've made to whats known as "Sync Libraries". Essentially they are music libraries people can access and obtain licensing for music they wish to use for Film/Media/Adverts. Skrillex uploaded this and a few more tracks to an obscure sync library many moons ago and forgot about them. Someone (Skrillex Mothership Forum admin) found the tracks and changed the URL to download them in full quality (it wasn't Skrillex's mastering company Kobalt, that's a rumour). When Skrillex's team found out they shut down the forum as an edited copy of one of the tracks was released (My Goodbye). The website was eventually restored under the condition that the other tracks will never be released or distributed (Legal stuff!). What you're hearing is the admin of the forum playing the track through a microphone on a chatroom associated with the forum. And even still, this is edited, and parts of the verse and the bridge are removed and will probably never be heard.

Snyd yup i remember seeing ur remake. ya im pretty sure they were taken from Kobalt Sync. The Skrillex Mothership was taken down for having Skrillex in the domain name. That’s what i’ve heard from a few ppl who were on the mothership. The My Goodbye edit was made around 2012 with skrill winning some grammys.

not gonna happen, the laptops he used to create the tracks that he kept the exported lossless files on got stolen in 2011, there might be some really low quality versions online like this one
