You just earned yourself a subscriber! After researching this camera for several hours, I couldn't get a clear answer on whether the tilt part was actually motorized. In other videos, they all panned around and during unboxing moved the tilt manually. Excellent video and really detailed!

No, you only have the options I detailed in the video. But for example a Synology NAS can record from an RTSP stream. But this a specific feature in Synology.

Yes, it works in the Sonoff app. You don't have to be in the same network.

Nincs rajta semmi fizikai védelem, szóval beltéri. Mondjuk eresz alatt ahol nem éri közvetlenül víz ott lehet hogy kibírja egy ideig, de szerintem gyorsan tönkre fog menni. Másrészt ezeknek a beltéri kameráknak nem olyan erős a infra LED-je, így este nem visz túl messzire.

And before anybody asks, you can't install Tasmota on it. It's a shame you have to install the app even if it's hard wired over ethernet. There's a full Web interface available when configured and no need for the app.

It worked for a period of time. Seems like you connect thru china to get to it? not sure - The camera I found to be truly a challenge in terms or re-pairing ( that was needed to a new network) and the endless start up and shut down of infra red detection - Its now in the basement. Maybe it can do something worthwhile again some day. I got to look for another brand name to replace the functionality wanted from this one -

Thanks, nice extensive "in-depth" review. It would have been nice if recordings could be uploaded to an external FTP server when a IR motion detection was detected.

Well, that is a feature I am seeing less and less. And Sonoff usually do not offer a lot of external integration, really just a basics.

Thanks for your video, I wanna buy this camera but first I need to know how long is the DC cable , and what type is the conector ,cuz if it is to short I need to buy an extender thats why I wanna know if the DC Male conector is 5.5mm

The cable is 120cm long, and the DC connector has 3.5 mm outer diameter.

Sorry, I can't test it again and I don't remember when I was recording it. But it says alerts are sent to the app. I have probably turned it off before recording because it was probably annoying notifications sent all the time.

Does anyone use SONOFF model GK-200MP2-B? Is there any other camera? What problems and obstacles does this model have? Can the camera be automation with a SONOFF light switch? Then have the camera point towards the door and start recording.

Uh very good question, I did not test that. The rtsp stream definitely works locally.

@@csongorvarga it is, because her brother Yi cam can't do it, so if you have internet connection issue the cameras will not work and u will not be able to see the record feed, that is why I am asking if SONOFF can do it localy ...

I have no apple devices, but this camera supports rtsp stream. If you can get a program for imac which can display rtsp stream, you can view it.

I have 3 of these on a good fiber connection. When I need to view any of them using Ewelink, it takes really long to connect, and often doesn't do so at all. This makes the system unusable for me and I certainly won't buy another one

I have this webcam but the time in the webcam is not correct. I tried “Sync Time” in the eWeLink app, it said “Success” but the time is still 6hr off. I assume it is in the wrong timezone. Does anyone know how to change that?

Sadly, it doesn´t support event trigger in the ewelink app!! so unusefull! it´s just an isolated camera.

Yes, it does that in the IFTTT integration, but for that you have to upgrade your account and pay to eWelink....

I have two of these cameras and I can say that I have never had a worse camera. Even if they are 1 meter from wifi, they keep disconnecting. Only one camera can be played on the new web application from ewelink cast. It is not possible to watch multiple cameras at once. To the camera: poor rotation control, huge delay between the instruction to turn and the execution. Probably the worst is the constant disconnection, which makes the camera an expensive dud. Not to criticize, he can see quite well at night. I will throw Sonoff devices and cameras in the trash in a moment. I regret ever going to the sonoff concept. I have about 50 devices from them and they are all really in the trash.
